As alot of people have mentioned, this was a very dirty NZ team, with some who only had the intent to injure English players. There were a few incidents that could and should have resulted in at least a yellow card. The amount of messing around at the ruck, cheap shots in tackle and thats before we get to the hit on Tomkins and Lukes cheap effort on Chase. The worst thing about those two was the obvious intent. It seemed to me that some NZ where only interested in a fight tonight.

What always gets me in incidences like this is the actions of the officials. The ref clearly told Luke (can't remember in the Smith one) what he had done and told him he had clearly set out to injure the player in question. If it's that 'clear' why simply just put it on report?
It's an old one (and slightly academic due to us winning) but what benefit will having the incident put on report be to England - the team who was sinned against?
If Chase had gone off injured, we would have been without a first choice player but NZ would still have their full complement.

N.Z really let them selves down last night in the way they played. Thought Kearney gave an honest account of the game, saying England out played them and the Kiwis discipline was very poor.

It's a cop out mate. Refs in the past like Thompson, Holdsworth & relatively lately Smith (Russell) would've had the cojones to wave the red for cheapshots like those.
They would have let the teams have a bit of biff but wouldn't stand for cowardly acts like we saw last night.

I know we won the game but i am pretty pee'd of that our big lads never gave any fight back.
Peacock, Morley, Westwood, Carvell are the guys who should have busted a few Kiwis in response. I know we did the right thing and kept to the game plan and therefore won the moral victory, but Luke and Smith should have been made to bleed for $hit housing.
In times gone by we would have downed tools and let the opposition team know that it wont be tolerated, GB/Eng have very rarely been out muscled in a scuffle. With the game won it should have been open season on a Kiwis head.
Also i dont know who Benji was trying to kid with this "hard man" act he was into last night. Comical from a complete wuss.

If it was in the final & a different era, maybe tuggles but there's a game to win next week and we have a pack that's creaking with injuries at the moment.
If we lost anyone to a ban, any chances we have for next week would be going down the pan quicker than last nights curry.
IMO, the team were 100% right not to strike back (would have loved it if they did crack a few heads and got away with it though)!!!

I agree, it was absolutely the right way to play and we need all the troops for next week. Part of me was thinking that perhaps Peacock knows he might fail a fitness test next week, so why not just banjo someone
