Announced that one of the acts booted by the judges in the first week will be invited back to fill the spot vacated by Frankie. Thought one of them (Amelia) was actually quite good. Can't really remember the others.

Jonjo, surely?

Alright, he was crap in the first live show, but before that he was far better than the other choices, and it was a poor song choice.

The choices are:

Amelia Lily (who's probably pregnant with Frankie's love-child)
2 Shoes (one of whom is up the duff and suspected to be the reason why they had the week 1 twist in the first place)
Jonjo Kerr
James Michael.

Ah, Jonjo, the squaddie who can't remember the words of his songs, yeah he was sort of OK

why are the people not good enough for the final 12, now good enough for the final 7? surely Jonnie or the Risk would be better replacements.....?

Well, if we're going down that route, the only fair way would be to allow Johnny back in. The Risk were less popular, in theory Johnny could have been 3rd least popular.

The way I see it is that the public were never allowed to decide on these acts, and someone spotted the chance to have another phone vote and earn some more money...

Frankie Cock Hoser goes out at the very time that his furtherance was becoming a real embarrassment ... how convenient.
The longer this show progressed, the more I wanted this low-life to be kept in by the PUBIC (sic).
The more I wanted this talentless man to win it.

However, regarding reinstatement the last one out should be the first one back in ethically. In the long run it's immaterial really, since they are tainted with failure.

War does not determine who is right - only who is left.

I think that's the real reason. After the premium rate phone scams that affected various TV shows a few years back, this seems like option that's least likely to rattle Ofcom's cage.

I suppose you could argue that, while the judges had to pick someone to be knocked out, the public may have chosen differently. So for example I'm pretty sure Jonjo will have a solid public vote if he gets in, just for being a squaddie. Still a bit weird, though, being mentored by someone who publicly announced that they considered you to be their worst act.

So Amelia returned, and has apparently become a firm favourite with the bookies. Why? I don't know. Her performance left me unimpressed. Although any act performing Queen songs would have had a hard time trying to impress me in any way, although admittedly Marcus pulled it off.

You have to either power through like Freddie would have, or do something different. Kitty just sang, Amelia just sang. Maybe if she'd gone up a gear at the chorus like Craig did with Paparazzi, she'd have "put it down" as Kelly Rowland would say. That's Kelly who has officially become the most annoying judge EVER on X Factor, and that's saying something after Alexandra Burke's appearance.

Anyway, Kitty's gone, but the fact that she'd got the audience chanting her name suggests to me we haven't heard the last of her. Love her or hate her (I hated her), there was no denying she had a good voice. Whilst I didn't rate her performance on Saturday, she was ten times better than Misha in the sing-off.

Janet is disgustingly bad, almost as bad as Frankie was. Once she and Little Mix have gone we might have a serious competition.

Still think it's going to come down to Craig or Marcus. Craig was my early favourite, but Marcus has got better week on week.

I'm sure I read somewhere that it's rumoured she's topped the public vote every week so far.
