And from what ive seen of tongia, he looks a better prospect than both of Smith Mathers.

And if rumours are to be believed, Tongia is also already signed up for next season

Yep and if rumours are believed he has been since just before Agar took over and he now want rid. Mathers problem is his consistency. He can look great one minute then come up with an absolute howler the next, especially defensively. It doesn't make sense for Agar to get rid of Tongia for the exact same reason and then sign Mathers, other than the quota situation which then points to Obst being a done deal. If Tongia has to go then i'd prefer Smith over Mathers any day. I'd probably even go for Paul Sykes first, at least he can kick goals.

I would not mind if Mathers came to Wakey. Can be used in many positions. Does make the odd error but would be a very useful signing for us.

Probably Collis. No idea about Johns kicking though.

We want our head read if we go back for Obst. Did an honourable job for us in the past but we don't need yet another mid level mediocre import on the side.

Ref: Mathers, he is a horrible player and I would struggle to support him - and yes he is prone to the odd howler on the field, and being at full back they are magnified, but he is no doubt a quality player and good enough for us.

Rather him than Tongia. No question at all.

Far, far too many average imports. Disappointing to say the least in my opinion.

I'm trying my hardest to believe the whole he will be offering a pathway to the kids but reading about obst coming back and the amount of imports just makes it look like Hull all over. After all we have wildie ad davey who should both be getting games now and make the need for signing obst a non starter. Nothing against Sam but we need to be giving the 2 lads some game time with Ellis. As for Mathers I can't stand him and would prefer Lee Smith.

John can kick but wasn't first choice iirc. Collis is only a part-time kicker as well.
