I'll delete the previous thread, so we don't clutter the place up.
Right, it is the fans of the Newcastle Knights against a joint team of the Hull FC WI and Hull KR fans.

I know you're waiting on your accounts to be activated - I'll have a word with admin if it isn't sorted in the next couple of days. It won't matter much for the first couple of challenges.

Okay, so the first challenge. The betting one was maybe a bit complicated while we're still getting our heads around the rules. We'll do that for round 2 instead.
Simple one for this week.
You've all seen Masterchef or Come Dine With Me, yeah? At very least you'll be familiar with the concept of 'food'. Your task is to put together a 3 course (starter, main, dessert/pudding) menu with accompanying pictures from the internet. You don't have to make the food - just the menu. I'll put together a panel of judges (mods from other boards), to vote on which menu is the better - ie which they'd choose. Anything you like - at theme, Thai, Italian etc or an eclectic mix.
A rubbish example - Prawn cocktail, steak and chips, black forest gateaux (sp?). Then I'd find really nice pictures of them for illustration, but I've got to go to work now, so I can't. You've got 1 week, starting... now. Any questions, post them here.

Is the challenge for the whole team, or for each member? I'm assuming each member.
I'm also assuming the winning team will be the one with the highest aggragate score - not the team with the one best entry - but correct me if i'm wrong.

Ah, good question roopy, I'd read that entirely the other way around!
You're way would be better, I was envisaging having to send thousands of PM's!
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

The whole team makes suggestions, discusses and then submits a single menu. You can vote or have the captain take responsibility to choose or arrange it however you like. As everyone has different favourite foods, it should make for good discussion/amusing arguments. It'll be like herding cats, but that is part of the fun.
I'll get 3 or 5 judges to vote. Team with most votes wins.
We'll do some team aggregate score challenges later on.
edit - no need for PMs, doesn't have to be secret IMO. Just do it on this thread. The Knights can do it on theirs until they are let on here.

I think it should be secret, what's everyone else think?
Maybe not this one but in future as obviously the Australians (they haven't even joined yet, best not start the sledging too early!) will do different food but they'll definitely steal ideas in future, that's what they do.
