Got back a week ago and the Three Crowns was excellent. Watched the Wire V Leeds game and also the Saints v Wigan match. Food was pretty good too.

Currently in York. Anyone know a proper or improper place showing eng v NZ game tonight? I'm on Fulfird rd (Barbican) side of things. Past the Masons arms and the Edinburgh.

Can anyone suggest a bar in Alicante for the game this Saturday.

aboveusonlypie... If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.

I think Barcelona and United are playing around the same time but you shouldn't have any problems. The Little Duke in Avenida Del Dr Garcia, The Red Lion in Calle San Pascual, Flanker Sports Bar in Calle San Juan Bosco and Bar Austin in Calle San Pascual are your best bets. They're all around the city centre and Austin's has got loads of screens.

I'm going to see Peter Hook at the Salford Lowry on Saturday night - terrible timing I know. Does anyone know if there are any pubs/bars around there that are likely to be showing the final? Hoping to watch it and then get in before he starts.

Failing anywhere near the Lowry I reckon I could get a bus from M'cr city centre to the Lowry and still get there in time. Any recommendations - real ale preferably?
