I suppose kids wont vandalise it. They'd be frightened if they got too close. It'd be like putting a picture of Olive from On The Buses on the matlepiece at home

i hope your mother is ok/recovers but what the love has that got to do with a debate on a rugby forum.
you did however reply to my immature post by nominating a non wigan player as requested!
callling me a p!llock does however show you to be rather hypocritical for an old man who should know better!
now i think you need to clam down!
p.s. i truly hope your mother is ok.
SLIM, sincere apologies for last night. I think you know it's not my way to get into petty name calling, I detest it. It shows lack of respect and in many ways a lack of understanding.
It has been a very stressful week, but that shouldn't be reason for my outburst.
However I still think it should be Shaun Edwards

lol @ shaun edwards, however on a serious note, i can be a wind up merchant at times but i really hope you mum's ok. on a rugby note i think who ever you pick it's going to be a mine field. i'm now begining to think a generic rugby league player made of bronze with no identifiable features would be the only solution, then every fan could only speculate who they thought it was or which team they played for! otherwise it may end up with some epic graffiti attacks, a fate that would never befall it's football counterpart.

That's a pretty sad indictment of RL fans really; a shame as it's probably true. Why vandalise a statue to celebrate the game as a whole simply because of club bias (I'm sure it was at least one of these threads where there were people saying they would too).

People might not vandalise a statue of Bobby Moore but I wonder if football fans would be respectful of a statue of a modern day player, if they made statues of Ashley Cole or Rooney etc.
