Go Leafs go!
Just got back from North America. Including a trip to Toronto taking in the Hall of Fame and seeing a the Kings vs The Avs in a pre season game at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas amazing to watch it live.
One thing that was noticeable over there was that the NHL is clamping down big time on any hits that are late, to the head or from behind. Brendan Shanahan has been handing out fines and suspensions out left, right and centre. I'd expect to see a lot more handed out early in the season.

Good and bad news about the tv deal.
First the good news.NHL is back on uk tv but not on ESPN it's going to be on Premiersports with up to 10 games a week starting on saturday.This means no HD,so far it's not available on virgin and the worst of all for me it looks like they'll not be taking NHIC I was going to get it next season for the nrl so i'm just getting it a bit earlier.I'll also have to get used to watching Hockey in SD again.

NHL Centre Ice is now also an option as they have made it available for the UK, but still no HNIC.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

I've had to go on cbc.com to see the videos of HNIC as I need to see what Cherry has been saying.It's the same as usual from him,Canadians are better than Europeans,fighting in hockey is great etc
