Started a game as Newcastle, brought in a few decent signings - Thiago from Barca, Daniel Sturridge, Givet and one or two more. Yet no matter what tactics I use, you would think our team had just joined from the blind school. Completely hopeless.

Not sure whether I'm going to buy it myself, I'm in 2018 on the 2011 game IIRC and have built up a quality team, so I will probably stick on that until I get sacked or win every trophy available.

I've kind of drifted away from the series recently. I've still bought every game since it was first released, but I don't play it any more. It's too in depth now, too technical.
I'll probably still buy it, but it does seem a lot harder
Team of:
Krul
Santon Taylor/Williamson - until I can afford a more composed CB which I won't have time to do on demo Coloccini Givet
Cabaye Tiote Thiago
Ba Zaki Sturridge
Only player missing is Ben Arfa. Yet this team is getting carved open left right and centre despite the defence all being defensively minded, and Cabaye and Tiote are giving a helping hand too. And despite Cabaye and Thiago putting chances on a plate for the strikers, they seem to prefer to kick it into the stands.
Enjoying playing the demo, as Hull City, struggling a little defensively, especially from crosses down my left. Didn't have any money to sign any players, so have had to use plenty of kids. Will buy the game on release date still, and will get plenty of hours gametime out of it til about March/April probably.
