Not me mate never talk to strangers in Dogging Hotspots , pretty much have a mooch round there Saturday lunch times and pop round on the bike to Asda.
Last week though I was off during the week and went the usual route and a car drove past me on the path that goes down the calan, so wondered if the big gates at either end are ever open and if they will be open when the stadium is finished.
Looked on the stadium website last night and see that parking will not be free on the site when there is a game on, that is totaly disgusting by the council if that is the case, talk about talking the mickey out of the fans who will already be paying over the odds for bad food and drink within the premises, you'd think they wanted to alienate the fans before we've even started playing there.

The gates are open sometimes but United Utillities were doing some work down there so i presmume they are in the area when the gate is open, it wasnt open saturday.
As for paying for using the parking on a match day, when i go to the KC, HJ, The stoop, JJB, Craven Park, Odsal and Gratham stadium i pay to park in a secure car park, why would our state of art facilities be any differnet? Its Just because we are all used to parking on various streets in weaste for free its becomes an issue. If its horrendus amount (say over £6) to park, park at the park and ride at the TC and divide that by the amount of people in your car and go with the cheapest option

depends on what you call resonable? If the stadium do what salford did on a match day and put "residents parking only" on the streets running upto the new stadium you might need to walk from the roundabout @ eccles say a mile?

My Dad went on a tour last week of The Willows and then the new stadium. I've finally managed to get a few pictures off him but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to embed the actual image I'll have a read and update when I can. For now these were the best pic's of the new stadium:

In the last picture it looks like they are starting to put the seats down in the main stand is that correct?
Does anyone have any idea when or indeed if they are going to landscape the area around the ground? strikes me as being a little odd they didn't break the back of this in the decent summer weather rather than wait until winter.

One positive I can see is with those low rooflines you should be able to generate a good atmosphere in the end stand , plus you should stay fairly dry as well , it always seems to me they build the roofs too high , which negates both sound and stopping rain
See I can do good stuff about it

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!
