Brough and Lomax are both very different players. It depends who plays at stand off/hooker/loose forward as far as Im converned. If Sinfield is at 13, we don't need a kicker, so we should go for Lomax. If O'Loughlin is at loose, then we could use some more creativity and a better kicking game, so maybe Broughy should get a chance. I personally would go for:

6. Widdop
7. Brough
9. Roby
13. O'Loughlin

Then I'd Robinson as the interchange hooker/half back.

My thoughts exactly but on current form I would take Lomax and therefore the Sinfield/Lomax combination

Gaskell. He's inexperienced but I don't see anything that the others have that gives them an edge over him because he's got a kicking game as strong as Brough. Let him have a go because we've nothing to lose. Build for the future.

Tonight showed that neither Gaskell or Lomax are ready, both were poor in the kicking game and Gaskell was looking to step back inside instead of passing out wide all game, Lomax was terrible with his kicking and did almost nothing the entire game.

Brough has the best kicking game, is probably the fastest and is the all round better player at the minute.

Brough.

He has one of the best kicking, if not the best, in Super League, has pace, agility and skill

Whoever has the best game next week between McGuire or Lomax should get the shirt.

We need somebody with a kicking game at half back which means that if you play McGuire or Lomax you have to play a Brough or Gaskell. We can't afford to play without an extra boot because Sinfield can't do everything. He needs somebody to take some of the workload in the kicking area.

Brough is a good player but I have no doubt that Lomax is ready to step up to international rugby

I havn't been that impressed by Lomax when I've seen him this year, I've always thought Gaskell looks the more complete player at this stage,.
