Quote:Personally, I'd stear well clear of 'The Tavern' where their beer can only be described as 'as weak as a vicar's handshake' and having less taste than a cardboard sandwich. This is also a pub noted for gang violence, drug running and prostitution, as well as having dried blood on the toilet walls, and smelling worse than Granox, Widnes....avoid

 Are you the landlord of a different pub per chance?!

The Tavern is just about the Best Real Ale Pub in Warrington.
Good crowd get in there as well.

I would rather cover my Testicles in fish paste and then dangle them in a tank of hungry Piranhas then drink in ANY pub on Bridge Street.

haha thats a bit harsh, they at least tried to scrape the slime off the walls when they changed the name of The Last Orders to Bridges (and they only let crackheads in in small groups now)

Did you know the word gullible isn't actually in the Oxford English Dictionary. Go on, check to see if I'm wrong.

I think my tongue just might have been in my cheek for my original post (although, not to Sally proportions)

The Tavern is far and away the best pub in the town (as I've said on here, many times in the past)
Bridge Street!!!!I'd rather drink in Beirut

Neither glass half full or empty. Just a realist.

Get there early if you want to have a few pints in the ground, the bar service is shockingly slow and expect a long wait.

I was going to have a good few when I went last time and because of the queues (Pre-match and during Half time) I only had one.

Get some cans from tesco, sit on the wall in between the Rodney and the red lion. Keep the cans behind the wall in a carrier bag then get one pint from the pub and keep topping it up
Works every time ;)
