An extract from Keith Senior's new book which was published in The Sun today. Seem's it's not only Warrington fans who think Phil Clarke is a biased Wigan w4nk3r.
Biased Phil a disgrace
THE play-off win over Wigan last season was one of the best results we had under Brian McClennan but it got overshadowed by a massive row.
In the final seconds, with us leading by a point, Pat Richards broke.
He got in a tangle with Danny McGuire and Wigan were awarded a penalty, which Richards missed.
Danny had to be carried off and was diagnosed with an anterior cruciate ligament injury, which meant he'd be out for up to eight months.
What caused all the fury was what pundit Phil Clarke said.
Clarke, an ex-Wigan player, said the injury might have been poetic justice, suggesting Danny had been punished by the "rugby gods".
Maybe Danny was holding Pat back but you could also argue his knee went and he grabbed out in an instinctive reaction. At worst, Danny was bending the rules.
For someone to say he deserved his injury was disgraceful. And it came from someone whose career was ended by a broken neck.
It showed how biased Clarke is towards Wigan and I lost a lot of respect for him.

Damo.
[quote='Fishsta"']I've always thought of McGuire as a good player, and I wouldn't normally wish injury on any player, but there was a certain hint of poetic justice to that.

Another classic:
[quote='Fishsta']You forgot to take off the "Saints Reduction Factor" when calculating the ban.
Standard suspension / Saints Reduction Factor = Actual ban for Saints player.
Therefore (2 / 3) = 0.666
0.666 < 1 therefore actual ban equals "less than 1 match".

Senior talks bull proven by his claim that Danny boy got in a tangle with Pat Richards. There was no tangle, he deliberately tackled George Carmont without the ball to stop Richards passing to him as it would of been the match winning score. In other words he cheated. I saw it, you saw it, the whole of RL saw it. Wether or not Phil Clarke should of said anything is another matter but for Senior to claim there was a 'tangle' is absolute bull and i would take caution at believing anything in his book.

It's not a question of believing anything. It's a matter of opinion. Nobody apart from Danny knows for sure what went through his head at that moment. Senior is only offering it as a possibility, not stating it as fact.
Regardless of the reasons for McGuire's tug on Carmont, you can't deny that what Phil Clarke said was bang out of order.
