Bank Quay A certainly had a few first team players thrown in but that aside they are still a great team and obviously coached really well. their kicking early in the tackle count caught us out time and time again even though we'd done our research on that.

overall a bad day at the office for us, but we can take a few positives from the game. onwards and upwards :thumb:

No 6 played cos of no 1st team game cos he has been on his hols for 2 week

No 13 played to get more fitness

The rest were all 2nd team lads I think

Picking Bulls man of the match, picked 6 then 12 to be told dont pick them they are first teamers. And 5 was a new first team player. Still no excuse how bad we were. Bulls were great. And for the record 6 hits like a train still trying to find my ribs.

No6 normally plays backrow in the 1st team
So does know how to tackle

No12 is a first team player ( I thought he played 13 )

But both played IMO purly for game time and fitness

After reading the report No5 is a new player and Id expect him to be playing 1st team very soon

Id expect apart from these 3 you will be facing the same lads in the return game IMHO

Good Luck for the remainder of the season

Number 6 had just come back from holiday and was always going with the seconds for this game as is standard paractise within our club that players don't just walk straight back into the first team, the number 12 has had an ankle injury and would have played 1st but needed game time so went with seconds when the 1st got called off, the number 5 was on his debut and like a lot of players there he will be pushing for 1st team but certainly isn't guaranteed.

It would not be fair on our own players if they were dropped because the first's didn't have a game, we are in a fortunate position to have two strong squads.

no problems if they were first team players or not, game played in good spirits, and totally enjoyed it (other than the scoreline) take a very very organised and disciplined team to beat you this year.

good luck for ur remaining games :thumb:

Riversiders 28 Cultheth 40

Strange how things work....31 Lads training Wednesday, 26 Advised they where available, 13ads turn up on match day!

We decided to roll our sleeves up and play the game as Cultheth had travelled with 19. We played well considering we lost a player after 15 minutes with a dislocated shoulder. Very pleasing to go into half time 12-0 to the good, the 12 men factor took its toll after 65 minutes, we found ourselves down 30-28, and Cultheth finally figured out that we would have an overlap on each attack and ran in 2 try's near the end of the game.

Message to Bank Quay - We advised the league on Monday morning that we shall be post-poning this weekends game, we have a dozen lads with tickets for the play off semi final in Widnes.

Bolton Mets 16 - 20 Folly Lane

First time this season we've managed to get two teams out, the first had a few back as a 60 - 0 scorline indicates. So we managed to put a very new and inexperienced team out, but still job done!!!

on the pitch at salford.
when the snow lay round about
deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try

It was very poor game to be honest mate, just knock on after knock on. The only good thing about the game was getting MOM
