Remember this is the Hickey who could not even provide a dent on the Wakefield first team last season when offered a short term contract as a career lifeline - how Harlequins can consider he has earnt another shot is beyond me. It suggests that Harlequins have done no "due dilligence" on the player whatsoever. They would be much better served looking at the likes of Peasnell and Broughton from our u20s.
I've been saying this for years. Clubs feel duty bound to fill up their overseas quota spots.
Simply sounding like Paul Hogan and having a penchant for barbeques, does not make you a good RL player.
Clubs like Quins should be promoting British talent, not casting it aside, because of a player's nationality.
I'm assuming Quins don't have a lot of money to spend....talk about p1551ng it straight down the drain
