My favourite away day is always Huddersfield.
Never get too cocky

It's not a bowl, and has some character about it. Unlike newer grounds, you can really see the current squad treading the same turf legends like Jones, Stephenson, Ward & Holmes used to.
It has lots of terracing, great views of the action and a fantastic atmosphere on matchdays.
It's not so big we can't fill it, and it's big enough so it's never horifically crowded.
It's good for getting into town (two railway stations), has a bus route outside, and is 5 minutes from a shedload of pubs serving good beer.
It's not on an industrial estate in the middle of nowhere, but is part of the area and the community.

I agree about Headingley being up there with the best of them. Hull and Wigan are supermarket grounds like Bolton, Middlesbrough, Derby and various others in football. Soulless.
We managed to avoid a similar fate when we built our ground by keeping the size reasonable rather than overblown and therefore half empty at all times, and building it right in the town centre.
I've always loved the older stadiums. Salfords was a favourite and i always enjoy going to castleford. The new identikit stadiums lack character, the all seater ones even more so. Headingley is steeped in tradition and is world famous for its' atmosphere. Away fans even get a free suntan on the western terrace that we don't charge extra for.
