I'm in a dilema about getting my next phone. Now I know I'm after a an IPhone, but which one? Me and the girlfriend have started saving for a trip next year to New York so all the savings is going towards that. So when it finally does decide to come out on sale the IPhone 5 is going to cost atleast £400 and thats even before the monthly payments start correct? Now I could opt for the IPhone 4 but do I think bugger it go out and get it now or will it become alot cheaper when the 5 comes out on sale? Or do you think its best if I wait until I can afford the get the 5 eventually?
Decisions decisions....

the question is this, what will the iPhone5 do that an iPhone4 can't, that you really, REALLY need from a mobile telephone?

No, if you were getting it on a contract you wouldn't pay the full retail value of the phone. You would probably pay £80-£120 for the new iphone depending on how high you took your monthly payment.
Why are you so set on an iphone? There are better phones out there for a lot less.

The monthly payments I'd be happy paying for would be around £35, so how much do you think the initial cost for the handset would be?
I don't know why, but I haven't looked or what I have seen of the other new phones, haven't seemed to interest me.

That's what I've been thinking about. I've looked on the net but haven't been able to see anything set in stone or even really strong rumours as to what the new IP5 will have. Although one thing I have heard is that the IP4 had signal problems due to the antenna been on the outside or something . Whereas the new one will have it back inside? Also a new improved camera.
But apart from that can't seem to find anything like I said set in stone.

The iphone 4 you can get for £69 on a £35 a month deal. The new iphone will no doubt be more expensive than that when it launches, probably more like £120-£150 at £35 a month, although it depends who it is released through.
You can get the Galaxy SII for free on an identical £35 a month contract.
Might be worth waiting to see what the Iphone 5 has to offer when it's revealed?

the signal issue is if you hold it in a specific way (IIRC) and as for the camera, the IP4 is as good as people need a camera on a telephone to be (imho).
I think the IPAD3 will be the next thing out from Apple.

Where have you seen that? On the Phones4U site they have it as free for £35 and the only one you do pay for the handset is £59 and then £31pm.
But like I said if it is within the £120 region then thats not so bad tbh I reckon I will hold out until it is released then atleast see what the IP4 is when the IP5 is out.
Just got to see when it is out now, seeing as no one has a clue and says different dates.
