No its not the end of the world , but it was the manner of the defeat. Town as have said prevousely were a good side.

I had a go at one player for which I regret , I was so bloody frustrated .

keep your heads up,its 1 bad result against probably the 2nd best team in the league(if we had hit this form a month earlier we would be champs). us town fans know what its like to be beaten easily at home and it stinks, but yous are still in the play offs and anything can happen, i hope you get haven and knock them out. good luck and you never know we might see you in the final.

Thanks for the encouragement. Personally if we don't make it i wouldn't mind seeing yourselves getting a crack in the CC, even if it's just to knock Keighley off their high horse. They seem to think they have a devine right to go up, after reading some comments on their forum over the past season.

I have now calmed down following yesterday and the only word i want use regarding yesterday was SHOCKING!!!!!! I do however agree with a number of comments already made about the progress we have made this year. Yes we need some bulk up front and some experience to steer us around the pitch but lets remember where we were a couple of years ago. We have made slow but solid progress and at no time has the security of the club been even rumoured. As much as i would like to be playing the likes of Halifax, Batley etc i think at this time we would really struggle in their company. Lets enjoy the ride for as far as we can go this year and if its not to be look forward to more progression next year.

DONCASTER’S hopes of claiming second spot in Championship One were dashed as they lost 37-6 at home to Workington Town in their final home game of the season.

In-form Town, who have beaten newly-crowned champions Swinton, the Dons and Keighley, who both started the day joint-second with them, in the last month avenged two previous defeats by Tony Miller’s side this season in emphatic style.

“I didn’t see that coming,” Miller told The Star. “Credit to them; they beat us in every facet of the game. They had a much better kicking game; we were very poor. Every time we got into good field positions we didn’t ask enough questions. Too often we took the soft option and that made it easy to defend against.

“When we got in good positions we also panicked and turned the ball over too much. That’s been an area of concern all year. We’ve done a lot of work on that aspect of our game in the last two weeks in training but we still had people doing things they shouldn’t be doing.

“The wheels fell off today and I apologize to the fans because they deserve better than that. If I’m honest I’m really disappointed and I’ve told the players that they need to take a long look in the mirror at themselves.

“I thought that they wanted it more and were better than us. I thought that we were poor across the board and I thought they thoroughly deserved their victory.

“I don’t think that they are 31 points better than us but on the day they were; it’s as simple as that.

“I thought that we made it easy for them to get out of their 20-metre zone in the first half. We didn’t make it tough for them. We gave away a lot of dumb penalties to our cost.”

Trailing 18-0 at the break, Miller said the only chance the Dons had of making a game of it was if they scored first after the break.

“What I was hoping for was that if we lost we’d finish near enough (within 12 points) to pick up a losing bonus point,” he said.

I hate to see players being abused. That is completely out of order. They put their necks on the line for us week-in, week-out and we need to remember that.

Of course everyone is disappointed when we get beaten but there should be no place for abuse.

When things go wrong, like yesterday, it's important that we all stick together and get behind the lads. They'll be just as disappointed as we were, I'm sure.

By the way, S/O, I'm not Ray Green! LOL! :D

we have had a great season on the whole no complaints from me reguardless of what happens in play offs ,my thanks carl, tony, and all the players you done us proud,
