Had a note to remind people about the season ticket offer this Sunday, where season tickets for 2012 will be available for £80 for one day only!

The season tickets can be purchased by cash or cheque only (no credit cards) from Box 9 (which you can get to from the upstairs bar).

They WILL NOT be available from the Keepmoat Ticket Office

Also there will be a display of a the work from the Communtiy project in the bar through out the afternoon, and with it being the last home game of the regular season the club would love to see as many of us as possible in the bar afterwards for a drink. (having seen the size of the birthday cake their could be plenty of that knocking about too)

There is a certain amount of protection afforded from a credit card transaction if things go tits up.
I'm not suggesting they will, but this seems like a backward step in a modern society.

I don't think I'd read too much into this S/O.

If I remember rightly, the same rules applied last season for the season ticket offer.

I'd guess that as the Ticket Office is being by-passed, it might be saving the club some money. Secondly, I don't think the Ticket Office take cards on Match Days either.

I do find it rather bemusing that the Ticket Office make a charge for paying by debit cards. Could you imagine the uproar at Asda if they said, "That'll be £102 please, plus 50p extra if you pay by card."

The admin time taken up by having to count cash, the security risk, and banking it must cost more than the electronic payment costs.

It would be intersting to know why the stadium policy is: No cards on match days, and why they charge for using debit cards.

Come on everyone: Support the Dons, and get your season ticket on Sunday!

I seem to remember paying at the ticket office last year, so you are not right.
I paid by credit card and paid the 50p
The good thing about credit cards is... that supporters who might be a bit boracic can buy a season ticket.
People who are a bit boracic ,come tomorrow, will not be able to buy a season ticket simply because they haven't got the cash ...a cheque is just cash delayed by 4 working days ... ie you need funds in the bank.
The net result will be that less people will buy season tickets tomorrow than would have done.
And the ticket office is easier to find.
Trust me.

On the plus side, people who want season tickets at a later date will pay more = more money for the club.
Anyway, I will be getting mine tomorrow.
What is the concession price ... anyone know?

The Ticket Office must have been open last year if you paid there S/O.

I seemed to recall paying Jackie Green in one of the upstairs rooms, but the old memory isn't what it used to be!

I understand your concerns that fewer people may be able to afford a ticket without the availability of the credit card facility, and the other added benefits paying by card brings.

Only the club can shed some light on this one for us. Same applies with the no concessions policy.

The price of £80 is great value and I hope the majority can afford to get signed up tomorrow.

We went thro the concessions issue last season ! Still good value if we get a minimum of 13 matches . cost per match will be just over £6 per game . Based on :- 10 league games , 2 northern rail & 1 CC game.

I can only think that we are considered an aging support base and to give a concession is a concession too far.
I've never known a situation where there is not a concession on season tickets.
£80 is fine by me, since I considered £50 last year to be a give-away.
However that means that the normal adult price is too cheap and the old farts like me are subsidising younger fans, and that goes against the whole idea of concessions.
I think wahs must be incandescent.

Being devils advocate , oldies like me(60) do get a concession cos the price could be £90 or £ 100. The concession is not as much as adult prices though !

I will be buying one also as will Janet.
