Who wouldn't have been taken apart by Barcelona that night? I can't think of any teams that would've been able to deal with them, a fact we'll probabaly see again this season. That wasn't showing United as poor it was showing how brilliant Barca were. I agree, in certain areas, they're not as strong as they used to be but to call them average is just stupid, imo of course

They will win the league and a lot more comfortably than last year I think but you're saying Vidic, Rooney, Hernandez, Young, Giggs, Nani, Berbatov, Fabio, Smalling - are all average? to name but a few. I still don't agree the league is average, out teams regularly get to later stages of European cups and I think they will again, doesn't say much for other leagues. Real Madrid and Barcelona run away with their league every year so you must think the Spanish league is horrendous.
