Once again the reason I prefer your lot to Warrington was proven. Coming out of the game after a long stay behind, loads of saints fans shaking our hands and wishing us luck at wembley. A fantastic day with no trouble at all just good banter. Both sets of fans showed the world what the real derby in rugby league is. Your fans were great today.

Its always been the same, we hate eachother for 80 minutes but there is an underlying mutual respect between the two clubs. I certainly respect Saints and what they have achieved over the last 15 years.

Yep, got to endorse what has been said. I've been a season ticket holder at Ewood Park for longer than I can remember. The Wigan/Saints equivalent is Rovers/Burnley. Whilst that hasn't happened too often over the last 30 years, when it does it's bedlam. Gangs of to$$ers everywhere, riot police, overhead helicopters, fights, stabbings, fans only getting tickets if they arrive by official coach, you've got to plan or alter your route to the ground and so on.
How refreshing then to able to be walk away from the HJ yesterday without having to face any of the above worries and being able to mingle freely with Saints fans back to the car in afriendly atmosphere. It's one of the reasons why my Mrs comes to most Wigan games but won't set foot in Ewood - well not unless I really persuade her!
Thanks again, lets hope for a Wigan Saints GF and I look forward to visiting your new stadium next season.
Shame u have a element of supporters contrary to all the nicey nicey your talking about. I'm a Wire and was happily standing in the West yesterday - what I saw at the end of the game was shocking to say the least! A female Leeds supporter was punched in the face by a drunken Saints fan!! Where is the respect there???

Funny that, nobody else on either board has mentioned this "incident" you speak of.
