Sorry I m not clever enough to link this comment to website, but I m clever enough not to say stupid things like Mr Hall.

Last week we travelled to Keighley and got a good kick up the backside going down 36-6.

It may have been the wakeup call we needed. Hopefully we’ll learn from this and quickly.

We have a bunch of so called Don’s supporters (they and I know who I’m talking about) who seem to get a kick out of knocking the boys after results like this.

But let me go on record and say I am proud of my players. No matter what happens from here on in this bunch of lads have done myself and the true loyal supporters proud for most of the season.

Dear Mr Hall like many fans I work very for my wages and give up my Sundays and much more time and money to support the Dons. The players are a credit to the club, however in many other aspects the phrase 'lions led by donkeys' spring to mind.

You're supposed to laugh when your @rse is on fire ... what's up with you?
And when you're served up crap, you have to smile and remember the times when you weren't served up crap ... just laugh it off, be proud.
You're not a true supporter anyway, not like me, Carl thinks I'm great and says I am welcome anytime.
Because I write things like:-
Quote:When you think about where we were only a year back, it's clear what a great job Miller, Hall, Scarrow, Green and Co are doing.
Well done!

Mind you I think Nelson had his blind eye up to the telescope when I posted that one.

You're just a paying spectator, not a true supporter.
True supporters don't point out awkward things and rock the boat.
So if you don't like it, stop coming ... and that goes for the rest of you moaners out there.

Oh dear it would seem the people who put our money into the club(us who pay to watch) are not allowed to have an opinion or freedom of speech!

Yes , there is freedom of speach for all but I think he wasnt wise having ago at some fans in the media . The club have got to promote the positives , on & off the pitch.

Lets all get behind the Dons over the next few weeks & achieve promotion !

I saw that article and very nearly posted the link, but with feeling on the Keighley match day thread about the performance I decided against it. There was enough folk rightly annoyed with the game without adding 'our Leaders' diatribe. The team have performed very well in this second half of the season and got themselves into a good position (and done it without the club Captain and what he brings to the game). I can only comment on the turnout at Rochdale which was excellent and those good folk deserve better. Mr Hall you are out of order running to the press with those childish comments and I can tell you on here that your stock is not that great amongst some of us and this will not help in the slightest. Very poor from you.

Good Post and one that certainly needed saying.

As someone who attended the Keighley game who consider's himself a True and Loyal Supporter i'm sorry but i find those comments made by Carl offensive and believe they will also be offensive to the vast majority of Dons followers.

And for the record i do believe the Dons have exceeded all expectations this season and apart from the Oldham and Keighley away games the lads have done us proud.

But I believe Carl needs to think very carefully and engage his brain in the future before making comments of this nature to the press--- and to Carl that is not meant as having a go it's meant as sound advice.

Criticise the fans face to face if they upset you.
Criticise the postings on this forum if they upset you.
But please don't go to the press
All it creates is negativity for the club for potential new fans and alienates older fans.

So is it not the true loyal supporters who spend there hard earned cash to go to games HOME AND AWAY GAMES, which in this day and age costs a lot of money.

The fans who watched that performance last week have a right as a paying customer to make whatever comment they want about the game, whether good or bad, its called freedom of speech.

Maybe the board needs to communicate MORE and get involved with the fans and the supporters trust, instead of making comments in the press which does not do any good.

There were talks of keeping fans involved, well when was the last fans meeting held???

It must be a critisism of fans on the forum, because where else would he read these comments, which just goes to show that Carl reads the forum, Shame we dont see anything positive coming from the club re: the fans.

I think in these times the club would be trying to keep fans and not slag them of in the local press.

I have now edited my original post because I don't need to justify my support.

Carl is entitled to his opinion as is everyone else - and with that we should all stand by our comments.

So if that is how Carl feels then fine....

I am however abstaining from the forum until end of season as to be honest life is too short to get wound up on a sat morning by something like this.

Good luck lads for the rest of the season

COYD

There's no I in team......but there is a me!

Bang on. Said my bit, what is more important to me is a play off final place and to show all the 'true' fans, the naughty fans and the once a flood fans that this side is actually quite good.

Now then wrote:I may not always agree with all postings but I believe that the users on this forum are as quick to praise and celebrate as much as criticise and debate.

I am and have been a massive fan since the age of 10 some 24 years ago, my old man has been watching from the very first match, my wife converted from Cas some 10 years ago, whilst my nephew and son are also being blooded into the Dons.

Having bought replica shirts most years, memorbillia, weekly programmes at all home games, along with attending many away games and all home games each season I hope Carl can balance his frustration at the comments he has read with the fact that as with ALL forums this is where fans talk and debate....(go read one of Man U's if not sure and they are arguably the most successful sporting team out there).

I have yet to see any personal attacks on anyone.
Having also PM'd the club many times to praise the efforts I would hope that I myself is not being tarred with this brush....and unfortunately statements like this do....

I travel from Penistone every match which loction wise is nearer to about 10 other clubs - but I don't because I live and breathe the DONS....

I hope the club understands the effort we all put in as I do the club.
Note also when the Coach bills this as a must win game prior and sets his stall out for expectations from the team, it is that expectation that the fans then are hoping to see.
I am now refraining from posting on here for the remainder of the season.

COYD let's finish next 3 games in style.

If you stop posting on here, or anyone does for that matter, he wins a small but unjustifiable victory.
This is a FANS forum for goodness sake, as I have said many times when someone doesn't like what's being said and has a go.
It doesn't belong to the Don's management ... they have their own site. And short of breaking the laws on defamation and libel, we can say just how we feel with due regard to common decency and a weather eye on respect and courtesy and the AUP.

To look at the world through rose-coloured spectacles might be fine in theory and I suppose if someone wants to go through life in an 'ignorance is bliss' state of mind then that's their choice.
Most of the rest of us realise that life is not like that. Sh/te happens and it's how you deal with it that matters. Pretending it didn't happen is just burying your head in the soil.

The very fact that we don't all have the same point of view is what gives life some extra spice, some extra interest. And that's what is so good about this forum, it is a window where we can voice our opinion in a relatively safe environment and have a bit of fun without the fear of someone kicking-off and resorting to physical violence.
It's a temporal medium.

Finally, as I always say, to imagine that in some way the people who post on here have any bearing on the general support for the Dons numerically or financially is quite wrong and the thinking of some paranoid mind.
To then go and bring it to the attention of the media about a handful of fans who voice discontent with shabby performances and to somehow extrapolate that into a team of wreckers hell-bent on personal damage to players sensibilities is farcical.
We ARE the supporters for Christ sake.
Or at least a cross-section of them with some computer skills and an urge to communicate.

So my recommendation would be to read and take notice and debate the bits that are unpalatable and don't spit out your dummy Mr Hall.

COYD.
