Good news for Rovers to have a settled halfback pairing for the next few seasons. Slightly surprised that Dobson has changed his mind about how long he wants to stay in SL so soon after agreeing just a one year extension, but I guess circumstances can change fairly rapidly.

Ah, so his appetites are sated and he's coming for a holiday. Cool.

That was an option on his existing contract, rather than a renewal. Gotta milk it!

Dobson is showing a lack of ambition imo, as is Seymour, to an extent. But their relative NRL careers are incomparable.

Perhaps he just likes it over here and the SL suits his style of play.
Plus he is on a decent wage.
Newton decided very quickly to sign a long extension to his deal when no doubt he could have gone back and played NRL again.
Sometimes things just fit into what players are looking for.
