All we can hope that it was a bad day at the office .

If Swinton beat Keighley , all to play for in the last 3 games,

Took time to reflect before posting on here. On the way to the game i commented on how well the Dons had done over the past few months, putting together a string of hardworking performances. I had the buzz well and truly back.

By the end of the game, i felt drained. How can we play so badly?

We are desperate for an experienced half back, who can marshall the team around the park.
We were totally shambolic in the last 20. Our left edge attack in the closing stages, was Dee, Carbutt, Morrison and Potts, it no wonder Morrison & Potts didnt get the ball.
We had two attacking plays yesterday (other than a forward drive) and they were a telegraphed inside pass to Hughes or Butterfield or Spaven kicking for himself.

Tactically inept, lets hope it was just a bad day at the Office, because the players are far far better than that showing

Just joined the forum and made it to my first away game, as already posted we badly need another half back on the pitch, Spaven for me was stood every time he received the ball with no one running off him or the support of another half back. Scott missed so many tackles and didnt get over the advantage line once.

Very poor display.

very poor show the majority of the side would be great at playing an air guitar as they was so good at air tackling remember when kyle sampson was introduced to the crowd in a flurry of trumpets( should have been comb and paper as he is totally inept just flaps his arms in atempt to make a tackle, got to agree about half back but dont forget fawcett should be back for next game a player who i rate highly

Also agree about half back. Be good to see people back in position. Although not taking anything away from kesik at half back because imo he has played brilliantly in that position in every other game, Im sure he will also be very glad to get back to Hooker and i think the team need him back there and need fawcett back at half back. Everybody struggled at keighley. Was just a poor all round performance. Hopefully a weekend without a game will do the lads good and they will come out stronger against whitehaven.

I stated last year I didnt think TM was good enough coach but I was always ready to be showed otherwise! This year we are/was in top 2 great to think most of us would be happy mid table at start of season or pushin playoffs! I think the squad is a talented bunch but he cant get the best out of them skill wise, I think hes got them in excellent shape fitness wise and thats why id say weve won most of our games due to pressuring teams into defeat which a win is a win but against good teams we need more than that and thats where we are left wanting!!!!

Just hoping for a bit of perspective here. Keighley and Swinton have been up in the top two the vast majority of the season. We at best were hoping to be in the top half and be better than last year. We have exceeded that and some could say have been the form team in the past few weeks. My opinion is that given a few injured returning over the next couple of weeks and into the play offs we may have a shout at the Final. I didn't go on Sunday but realise from the posts that we were dire, which is out of character given our current form. I honestly believe that this squad is capable of giving a really good account of itself in the playoffs. TM believes (according to the press) that this squad is the best he has had and I have no reason to doubt that. We may achieve something for us to remember and be proud of, it may go belly up, but the Coaching staff and the players have put us into a position that I would have snatched their hands off for at the start of this season. Apologies for the optimisim but we have had crappier days than last Sunday.

I think it was the manner of the defeat that has ruffled a few feathers , we lacked ideas , creativity & discipline last Sunday. I'am not saying some players didnt try but several had off days . Hope we can put this behind us .

According to the RL Express Chris Green should be available again. China might also be fit. I hope Fawcett, Crawley & Sanderson also push for places.

I maybe didnt explain my point how I wanted I agree we have exceeded all expectation which I put what I was trying to say is its great weve been winning but there is alot of poor teams in this division which we should be beating easily but have always lacked that bit of spark saying that a wins a win and ill take it everytimebut just think we got above our station because we need that spark even more so against the strong sides which at the moment we dont have (now fingers crossed the lads make me eat my words n win playoffs)
