Next week should be interesting, pmh's hometown of Huddersfield will see two clubs on the back of losses looking for a bit of bouncebackability.
scores maybe irrelevant in cup games, but performances arent, we never competed, were never in with a chance, and thats what gets to fans, i didnt expect to win, but i hoped wed give them a good game.
Once again the the calls for Morgan to go? Lets have a reality check. Morgan is not the best coach in the league (IMO with time he has the ability to be the best) he is not the worst. The same applies to our squad. Look at yesterdays opposition, Saints have never been out of the top flight they have a long established junior set up & pathway to the first team, & a choice of exelent overseas talent all built on the back of a long & sustained period of relative succsess espescialy in the summer era. Rovers have not, & appart from a period in the 1980,s have been also rans for most of our history. We can not attract the very best as they will go to the usual suspects as they percive they can win things. Other clubs can not pay more & some players will choose Leeds, Saints, & Wigan & play for less money in the hope of silverwear. The only way we can compete is to build year on year slowly & stick to the plan. The teams we need to emulate are the Giants & Warrington both basket cases untill recent time both like Rovers hving had succses in the distant past. The other myth that needs to be got rid of is that we are in a hot bed of league! maybe we are as regards watching but producing players we are not, that is were the efort must go & the one bit of good news is the recent takeover at FC, Pearson & our board must bury the stupid rivalry & concentrate the efforts in getting young kids playing & enjoying the game & getting the basic skills taught at the local clubs as has been pointed out you would stuggle to put together a decent super league side from Hull produced kids. How many of Rovers best players (legends for want of a better word) are from Hull ? No fans need to realise we have a long way to go, we need a clear out of players & unless we can get a coach in the mould of Wane Bennet then stick with Morgan but realise that it will be a long hard slog to ever compete with the likes of Saints & Wigan, Leeds & now Warrington.

Good post. High hopes and realistic expectations are the best combination, IMO.

The one flaw I see in Morgan is his favouritism. This is only a big enough problem to get rid of him if we have someone better lined up, I don't think we do. Either way he is arguably the best coach we have ever had.

How can u say he is the best coach we've ever had he's the only coach we've had in super league so I don't fully agree, and what coach leaves out grt in form players and sticks to his favourites cos it's getting more and more obvious who his yes men are

I would love to see somebody form an argument stating that Justin Morgan has been a better coach for Hull KR than Roger Millward was.

Exactly Morgan was good for us the first year in SL and now I think he given up trying we have a supposed better squad than last season where is it and I think our players well sum of them they're fitness levels need questioning
Sadly for Justin it is time up. Why are teams like Saints so much bloody faster than us. When i watched warrington v wigan on tele my jaw just hit the floor the gulf in class between that and the stuff served up at craven park is eye opening. If we are to compete with these team at the business end of the season then something drastic has to be done. These top teams seem to have an ability to peak when it matters sadly for Rovers when the big games come around all the players are thinking about is the beach. I will carry on watching Rovers i will carry on turning up but no more will the wool be pulled over my eyes. The only way to beat class is to have class in your side, sadly the vast majority of this team are mid table at best. At the moment all i can see on the horizon is Northern Ford again infront of 1200.
