Here are a couple of shots of the east stand showing the progression in the brickwork
Eagle eyed people will also notice the black drain pipes coming down from the roof
Here is a close up of a drain pipe. This is actually though from the North stand
We can see in this shot the tarmac roadway that has been started to be laid behind the East stand
here we see the tarmac road going past the North east corner. Notice the green turf of the pitch
zooming in, on the pitch we can see its now a lake of green. I dont think it will be long before the mowers will be on it, keeping it trimmed.
looking up at the commentary box and we can see glazing going in
Brickwork is progressing on the North stand as well. Notice also the tarmac road
Were does this tarmac road go you may be wondering. Well it goes to the car park behind the North stand which has also now been tarmaced
Here is the North stand from the North stand car park
and here is the corner of the North and West Stand, showing also a hint of green
Lets zoom in again for some more of the lush pitch
Hanging from the West stand roof, i noticed some black triangular things. Zooming in i could see that they were the tannoy system that is being fitted.
Finally two shots from the Tesco side
Disappointingly, just after i had taken these shots and pocketed my camera, the Red Arrows RAF display team, overflew the stadium.
It would have made a cracking photo.
