Oh and you forgot your tee? Its like forgetting to put on your undies! Dont blame us for that unprofessionalism.

However none of you have mentioned the fact that in both games a certain Mr laughton officiated and gave the two worst displays of refereeing I have seen in years. Now this isn't sour grapes as of course we won but even the most biased Donny fan must agree that he kept you firmly cammped out on Swinton's line, It was only virtue of the fact we stood resolute that you didn't get over and win it.
Best of luck in your remaining games and playing like you did you will win the playoff final.

Thanks Marshy for a more unbiased opinion of the game.

Totally agree with S/O we need an experienced half to support Spaven and give us more ideas on attack.

Hopefully not lost on the Management the fact that the half back pairing is crucial. If we are to have any chance at all of a decent stab at the play offs it wants sorting, or are they hoping that Craig will be back for the end of August ?

Just a few comments from me on this.

In my opinion Swinton deserved the win but we should have won to be honest.I thought Swinton were the better side and used the ball a whole lot better than we did.How we could do with someone like Watson running the show for us in the middle of the park and organising and get Kez back to 9 his best position even though he did have a good game last night.

I cant believe as well the Swinton fans kicking off about Ronnie. They ought to have been to some of our games over recent years and then complain about him.FWIW I thought Ronnie was fair last night. He was consistent with the offsides and when he did pull Swinton up it was more often than not for high shots which were all justified. If Swinton want to complain about penalties then they should learn to tackle belo the eyebrows.

The main thing with me though was tactics. Neverson and Pottsy gave their defence problems every time they got the ball.Instead of feeding these two at every opportunity we continued the one out stuff.Very predictable and for me it made the Swinton defence look good. With about 2 mins to go (I think it was our last set) we played 5 drives and kicked when we were chasing the game and had them on the rack.We desperately need a playmaker in the middle and need to start throwing the ball a bit more and have a bit more confidence going forward. We missed Edwards last night I thought and on last nights performance we shouldnt be frightened of anyone in this league.Swinton are not much better than us.They just test defences better than us when going forward.

Come On You Dons !!!!

Ha,Im 41 matey, been watching for all of those years. Read what I wrote,no complaints over the pens. For the record you caught two knock ons on our line and ran over the line, and two tries from hacks on off loose balls when everyone expected play to stop.
So no arrogance from me,your fans were the ones saying you should have won, which really isnt the case.
All the best for the season

For what its worth I went to both games.

Yesterday Swinton won the first half no question and 2nd Half Donny won no question.

Laughton was poor across the board and whilst we had the rub of him on occassion we also had him make no decisions with the card despite repeated warnings for, holding back and high tackles.

An exciting game where Joseph and Watson were excellent for Swinton, but out with poor first half defence we did not deserve to lose and a draw would have been a fair result all round which was commented on by many fans from both camps.

Kicking T if true is school boy - simples.

But I repeat that the game was there to be won and could have been. So to talk of top spot as none sense doesn't make sense - current form is of no concern as long as we do learn from the mistakes.

Hughes, Emnett and Jack were all excellent and made significant difference when on...

Biggest annoyance was Potts and Morrison were excellent in attack , but I believe all of Swintons tries were scored on that side, one of the tries being a break away effort when both centre and winger let through.
But a young team that certainly fitness wise were better - just a tad more creativity at times in Swintons key men....

Spaven should not beat himself up - he played the 80 mins like his life depended on it - chin up fella!!!

Best of luck to Swinton who should now finish top.

Finally even with the loss it was a great night out and the team should be happy that at least we enjoyed it!!!!!

There's no I in team......but there is a me!

Well that's one of my questions answered then.
Grant Edwards had a dead-leg and that's why he didn't play.

Another question is why Sanderson didn't play instead of you know who, who's only mention in the match report was that he got bundled into touch when he had a chance.

I hope I won't see his name in the squad vs South Wales ... a cat has less lives.
To be fair, he is quite a good defender.
