There's no salary cap on what you can pay a coach. There are a few teams with rich backers who can easily outbid us for a top coach if they want to. Or even a team prepared to run at a large loss, which we aren't. As misguided as I think the choice of Agar has been, I believe it has nothing to do with the financial side as such and much more to do with a lack of appreciation of what a top coach can add to a good squad.

I thought more of you, Cottingham Festival addictee. Clearly you haven't had much Love, or you would know that Arthur Lee was the Anti-Hippy from Hell.
Stalked by Jim Morrison, revered by Hendrix who was a musical companion, copied by the Stones and the Beatles, Love and it's mastermind Lee were the harbingers of the music you know today. As well as classical and blues, Love did punk and rock a decade before everyone else started.
As Forever Changes is 40th/500 greatest album of all time according to Rolling Stone magazine the foo yungs or whoever they are have a bit to live up to. In fact, I guess they know this owing to their touching tribute in the form of their new album cover
The best kept secret of musical history, probably because of their deranged lives and inability to hold much together for long, all musical scholars hail Love and Arthur Lee as great genii.
