He was talking about a team being created and dropped into SL having no chance of success, I pointed out the Dragons (who were created in 2001 BTW) as being an example of success of expansion in a short amount of time. Thank you very much.

Now, do you have any reason why Crusaders should get a license above Wakefield?

TBH I'm not really in the mood for an argument so I shouldn't have been so deliberately provocative.

We're arguing over semantics with Les Catalans as we both know that they grew out of clubs founded in the thirties.

I don't really want any teams to go, but, I do think we need to widen the game if it is to grow and not just end up gobbled up by rah rah.

Wakefield, Castleford and even us have had plenty of time to get the ground improvements promised done.

With regards to the expansion clubs it would be better if the RFL were just up front about it and say; "This is our vision for the game, we're going to support these clubs as this is what our pay masters want". We really lost the right to any moral pontification the day we allowed the game to sell it's soul to Murdoch.

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Don't give me your stupid "flat-cappy" trash talk either.

Can you explain why any of this is the fault of the Crusaders fans? Which is the point I was actually responding to.

As for the second bit, I didn't realise it would touch a nerve. Sorry. :)

It'll be bad if we lose Wakey, a traditional team in the heartlands of Rugby League, but I don't think they're offering as much as Crusaders. Their youth development isn't that strong. For such an established side, I would expect their following to be a little stronger, although, I bet people support a variety of different teams in the heartlands area. The RFL's clear MUST for the Super League liscense from 2012-2014 was that Crusaders, Saints, Cas and Wakey had improved stadia or had plans for it. The first three have, but Wakey are way behind with their planning. They're also in poor financial state, so are we, but Wakey are far worse.

Now let's have the facts about Wakey..

- We have an excellent youth development programme - just evidence the recent success of the academy team (champions a couple of years ago) and the number of young players we have in the current first team squad.

- Our ground planning is at least as advanced as Cas. We also have the option of playing at Barnsley FC, but the RL have apparently vetoed that. Can you think of any other clubs that are playing at a football ground? Wrexham perhaps?

- We are in a much better state financially than we were under the old regime - without the need of any bail out from the RL!!

- Our crowds are on the up and still considerably more than Cru (& for that matter Quins).

Do you also want to talk about our excellent community programme that is shown (by the RL) as an example to other clubs? Thought not.

Don't assume it is nailed on that we will be out of the SL come the 26th!!

Why would the RL veto the Barnsley option?

I can think of several clubs playing at football grounds, so don't single out our Welsh friends when there are Hull FC, Huddersfield & Wigan all lodging with soccer clubs.

Actually all three clubs you mention are playing in grounds specifically designed to be dual-use, and in two cases the soccer club doesn't own the ground in any case.

Come to that, Wrexham FC don't own the Racecourse ground any more either.

Still can't see why a move to Barnsley would be blocked though.

So nobody can come up with a reason for Crusaders above Wakey then?

Expansion is fine, keep Crusaders in, but not at the expense of an established team like Wakefield. That would be a disgrace! Where's Wakey's help from the RFL been?

All this nonsense would be killed stone dead is they reintroduced P&R

And totally missed the bit about it being a team created from an area who had been playing RL since the 1930's.

Hardly a fair comparison to Crusaders and Wales now is it?

I don't assume its nailed what so ever - with recent happenings I think the RFL will have a good look at us and what has happened lately.

All your points are revelant and true. I obviously don't know anywhere near as much as you guys do, but neither do some of the fans know a lot about Welsh Rugby League on here.

The best way to discuss this is on 26th July.

To me, yes your youth development is good, but not as good as some Super League clubs.

Love my Rugby League.

The game will survive in North Wales. Too much work and effort has been put in, to let it go to waste. We have an appetite for this sport and we'll make it work.

You're likely to see me in a Crusaders shirt, in a Warrington game or a Catalans game.

Why do we need to? Are Crusaders the only club competing with Wakey for a licence or something?

You come up with a reason why you blame the crusaders fans yet?

Once again, Wakey are not competing with Crusaders alone. Not sure why you think they are TBH.

As for help - what direct help have Crusaders had that was denied to Wakey?

And how many seasons were Wakey allowed to get away with unfulfilled promises?
