Such potential was noted by some quite a while ago while others were only too happy to state he didn't possess the skill-set to play the position.
This season he has, yes, certainly offensively. He's shown some naive defensive positioning (was apparent a few times on Friday) but he's certainly shown far more potential in THAT position this year than he has in previous seasons gone. I always recognised his potential to be a fine full back.
I saw little evidence of such potential in previous seasons outings on the wing for Leeds. I don't know what you saw. Perhaps you saw nothing but were predicting the future, as you're now doing with Watkins potential to exceed Hall as a winger.

I think hall should be left on the wing and if we are not making a big centre signing so to speak i would prefer watkins to be his centre, on the rangi chase thing, i think he is too much like danny mc to accomodate both at 6 and 7 but thats my opinion.

So, has Jones-Bishop now gained the basic skill-set to play the position or did he have them a couple or more seasons ago and you were unable to see them at the time?
Watkins' best performances for Leeds have all (IMO) coincided with his selection on the wing. Unfortunately thus far as a centre he's pretty much always struggled with defensive allignment, decision making, propensity to ball watch while offensively his ball security is indifferent and pass selection is hit and miss at the best of times. It must be a nightmare for the winger being paired with him on the flank.
Perhaps a shift to the left (if he can get himself available for selection) will see him more comfortable in the role.

However to argue that he isn't even the best one at Leeds based upon some potential shown there by a centre and a full back is an argument but a very weak one. When either of Watkins match Hall's rise to international standard, durability and try scoring ratio over a prolonged basis let's re-visit the discussion.
Until then Hall is a fixture on the wing for Leeds and England IMO.
Agreed
Hall is a class winger, would be nice to see what he is like at centre.

Where, has ANYONE, ANYWHERE, EVER said ANYTHING about Ryan Hall switching to Centre? (Other than fans on here?!)
What the chuff is the point of taking a try scoring, successful winger, and moving him to the centre where he's then equally matched in both size & strength by the guy that's now marking him. Leave Hall on the wing. Yes he's big, and strong, but all that means is that 9 times out of 10 he's attacking against a little skinny kid. Have you not seen these Aussie/Kiwi wingers? They're HUGE!
If it ain't broke... DON'T FIX IT!

Leeds already have plenty of second-rowers, including Delaney. I don't see what the point of this, let alone getting another one, especially as none of them are actually that good anymore. I miss the days of having players like Furner, Ellis, Poching, Eastwood (when not at prop) and on-form JJB & Lauitiiti. Ablett's OK when he isn't being asked to play centre.
