Went out for a ride yesterday and got my first real up close look at the new site and my fears about the smaller stands were misplaced as they look fine, think if they were all the same height as the main one Salford councol would have a delightful white elephant on it's hands.
Are there any plans do we know to increase buses to the venue on match days? think the obvious route would be from Eccles interchange direct to the ground and then return afterwards
Did'nt realise that the size of the area around it was as big also.
A couple of pointers for pre match drinks, there was a church based social slub on the A57 near the motorway round about that looked like a suitable venue and if you were to drink at either The Kings Head or the Rock the path down the canal would make the ground only a 15/20 minute walk away.

The said Social club is St Michaels, cheap beer, but it also gets filled with not rights off Brookhouse estate.

deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try

A few people have mentioned on this thread about the new stadium location offering excellent exposure from the motorway compared to the backstreets of Weaste. With this in mind I did some searching on Google to see how the M60 compares to others in terms of traffic volume and this is what I found. An average of 43.8 million vehicle journeys a year!

First accept sadness. Realise that without losing 70% of the time, winning wouldn't be such a relief.

I have today heard off a very reliable source that there will be a harvester pub going up on site next year which will be very useful for a pre match bevvie !

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

Doubt it will be up and ready for the start in the new ground.
The real pity for me is that the Weathers next to the ski slope is on the wrong side of the canal as that would be a brilliant place pre match.

As much as anything else I'd think the road infrastructure would be inplace to late and what about permision for liceenses and what have you.
Would be a good think but maybe a little on the small side for a big rugby crowd?
