I guess todays result wasn't a disaster, a bonus point is something considering we were carrying the 2 players who should have retired last season, a second-rower who has the build of a scrum half & an off day by our scrum half. If we had no Jones & Penky today, we would have been beat very comfortably today. Bannister was anonymous today. Greenwood is improving every game. He'll be hitting gaps very soon.

I also personally think Barlow is big enough to play prop and should run straight and hard, rather than take the ball from a standing start, have a 1 second waltz then a drive.
Gannon had a good game in the forwards today, but wasn't backed up by the other forwards.
Lets hope we can get some players back from injury.

Whats happened to Chandler & is Adam Rudd still under contract?

Oh, and, how come Danny Maun can stand 2 yards offside the whole game and not get penalised.
Rant over!

First half we looked back to our old ways and were much better in the second. Unfortunatley we are still reaping the results of poor recruitment in the off season when we pick up a couple of injuries to main players. What happened with Bannister today, looked totally off his game. He is usually the only one running good lines but today was running round like a headless chicken.

Today was bad, very bad. It sends out messages to the rest of the league.
Just get in the faces of Halifax and grind away for a result.
Halifax showed very little flair and precious little organising.
What has happened to Mr Bowman ?

You made me love You, I didn't wanna do it.

I presume you mean Anthony. He was playing for the 23s in the 12:00 game.

But with, Jones, Black, Beswick and Penky all in the first team. We aren't really short of play-makers it is the forwards we need to concentrate on.

Barlow really needs to up his game or his brother should play! he dances around instead of taking the ball in hard. last year he was a real handful but seems to of really dropped off this year.
Ben Black has been poor all season so far, he never takes the line on and show his skills going forward.
Paul smith should not be playing of Joe Chandler, it makes you wonder what is going on behind the scenes.

Ratu, Dudson, Goddard, Haley, Aizue, Rudd, Ostick and maybe there are others i have missed off; We seem to always be unfortunate with injuries.

Watene? No sign of him.

Maybe we ought to get some more dual registration players because if we don't we could be fishing in the under 23's for some players soon.

Is this the same Barlow that miraculously got back to save a try under the sticks near the end of the game. You lot are ridiculous sometimes, he's working hard on beating defenders with footwork just before the collision.

Is David Bates still with us? His injury is taking ages. Get rid.
