Another mate of mine had a similar story to tell - a different part of the ground, a different aggressor. How do you equate that??? The provocative nature of the abuse I took is not printable on this forum. I react simply by taking the rise out of the aggressor - BUT, there are people who, if spoken to like that may well react in another manner! A young man from Halifax has been arrested for assaulting a police officer. I saw with my own eyes a few fax fans behving in an aggressive and violent manner.
Without arguing over semantics, I will repeat - I know where the greater problem lies. What I just can't process is the denial that some fax fans were guilty of provocation and threatening intimidating behaviour when it happened to me!!
I know we have a real problem. So do the club. All I am asking is that work is unilateral. We ALL need to work on this. If the head is in the bucket "it was them gov", then the problem remains!
Yes but saying , " havent you eaten enough pies you fa* G*nger bstard " isn't real ' abuse ' is it Robin

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

It really is that simple, You carry on with whatever you beleive but if it carries on there will be no club left for you to support as there will be no money coming through the gates and you dont have a bank roller. Either way, i am now past caring what happens to Fev rovers which is a shame as i always wanted a fellow West Yorkshire team to do well.
Absolutely fantastically said, thats totally how I feel too.

Just about sums it up for me too , I used to always hope Fev would do well , heartland club and went through bad times but looked to be turning a corner. But since last year they have had bother not just with our club but others too and I really can`t see the evidence that they have done enough to stop it happening. I`m sure the decent honest fans and the people who are runing the club have tried to do bits but as is obvious they have not been robust enough . Other clubs have been subjected to it too but unfortunatly for us a lot of our fans were sitting ducks and attacked by a large group from behind.Fighting back , to protect themselves has tarred us with the same brush so wether we deserve it or not we are tainted. I think people at Fev should have put measures in place to stop this hapening and should have paid for police prescence inside the ground . It`s a sad day for all concerned and everyones lost out as the good name of both clubs have been tarnished wether we like it or not. I would never go to Featherstone again unless I had some cast iron proof from the Fev Club that measures have been put in place to take care of supporters from all clubs.Maybe these measures will be imposed upon them by the RFL , as we await their enquiry , I wish all our fans had stopped at home that night but if it hadn`t happened then it would have been next time.
YOU CAN LEARN FROM THE PAST BUT NOT RELIVE IT.YOU CAN HOPE FOR THE FUTURE BUT CAN NEVER BE SURE THERE WILL BE ONE.

Can we hurry up and get some pictures and videos on here so we can get on with the naming and shaming, how the clubs can do anything about it without letting people see the evidence is beyond me.

This is getting a bit embarrassing for Fax fans now and should all stop now! This was fighting between 2 sets of fans due to the past history and it's not right that one club should take the blame....Fax n Fev should be working together not working against each other so let's stop the bickering NOW!

At the play off semi last year, us fax fans were goaded and abused after being beaten. It was 'aggressive'. But you put it down to banter. We didn't start leathering said tormentors, because we are not scumbags. We went home and took it out on the Wii.
It's not an excuse for assault. Nor am I saying there was such 'goading' this time. Sad thing is, it wasn't in any way a surprise...well, it was probably a surprise to the teenage fax fans who had their a$$es served to them. 2-0 the Fev hard lads I guess

Fev have the greater task ahead of them - I don't think I've denied that anywhere. But we ALL need to get shut of ALL those physically and verbally aggressive souls who we do not want at games! How we do that without self analysis I'm not so sure!

How do we work together? Earlier this year Featherstone beat us at the Shay, could someone tell me how many Fev fans were goaded into fighting? how many Fev fans left the ground and were spat at and told they "would have their f***ing heads ripped off) See my earlier post. If we meet in the playoffs at Featherstone, Featherstone fans will continue to make problems. When we meet at the Shay Featherstone fans will have the same reception they had earlier this season.
After all, Fev sing "wan"y wan"y Halifax throughout the game, we sing "championies"
Which is most offensive?
Just a thought.

Rotherham Fev Fan.
Look I don't doubt you, you say you were abused at the Burger van. We entered the ground quite early, mixed with both sets of fans. Went upstairs to the bar. took our places at our end. Being a greedy B"gger about ten mins before half time I went to get a burger, mingled with both sets of fans and then before half time took my place in Fevs end. never saw, heard or felt violence, abuse or intimidated. Watched the game, went for a wee, behind the stand. Never saw any trouble. Final whistle. celebrate a win, what 20 mins, walk to the car, what 10 mins. drive through the car park. Fighting. 30 mins after the game. So where Fev fans waiting for us to leave. Driving down Post Office Road, youths running towards the ground, not even been to the game, abusing us as we left. "Fans" spitting at us "I'll rip your f""ckin head off" 6 year old Grandson crying in the back of the car.
I'd say a bit of p"iss taking at the burger bar was small in comparison.
And Chris Taylor? Your right, it's not worth discussing is it?
