I'm afraid it's not TWO sets of fans who need to sort themseves out and it's only one set of fans spoiling the game.

Just wanted to add a few things to this thread. First of all the 2 lads nicked at the game.. The first lad was let out of the car within ten mins of being put their. The second nicked for assault PC was innocent as was prooved yesterday when he was released without charge. I witnessed the whole incident and am mates with the lads involved. They were attacked first and acted in self defense, the tried time and time again to get away hence the fight spilling all the way up station lane. They were chased and attacked time and time again. The problem lies with fev the average ago of the fax lads was about 19 the average age of the fev / lufc idiots was 40. The problem lies with fev. These fax lads watch fax week in week out with no trouble. Fev are a disgrace to RL!

I think that we are looking at this as a Fev-Fax issue but from what has been said by Leythers and reported by others this is a FEV issue, Fax are not the only fans to have put up with abuse (physical & verbal). I am absolutley sure that it is only a minority that cause the problems, i'm also sure that it was only a minority of Millwall fans that got their club such a bad reputation, but these people must be kicked out of our game and it is up to the real Fev supporters to help with this.

I agree Norman - However, I and a good mate were personally and provocatively verbally abused last Thursday. What was said to the both of us was aggressive, unnecessary and intimidating. However, my response is just to take the rise out of the aggressor. I can't excuse a violent reaction, but I can see how those comments made to someone else might provoke a reaction! What I have advocated throughout this thread is, that whilst I accept the over-ridding priority to annul this behaviour lies with a collective approach from Fev and it's supporters, what I have seen, experienced and heard at games v Fax and Leigh is that they too have a problem. Much less of a problem, I acknowledge that, but there too have a number of numpties who shouldn't be anywhere near a ground.

John, It looks like this is the common held view amongst the Fax populus. But the evidence before me that I experienced and saw with my own eyes would suggest otherwise mate. Fev have the greater task ahead of them - I don't think I've denied that anywhere. But we ALL need to get shut of ALL those physically and verbally aggressive souls who we do not want at games! How we do that without self analysis I'm not so sure!

An understatement, massively less of a problem.
There is no problem with Fax and Leigh fans and guess what... Blackpool will just prove my point.
This whole incindent with Fev is really bothering me now because Fax fans are becoming tarnished, completely wrong and misguided, the focus should be on Fev fans end of.

87 - before the game stood at a burger van - I was verbally abuused in a threatening, provocative and unnecessary manner by a 40+ year old man wearing a fax shirt. Another mate of mine had a similar story to tell - a different part of the ground, a different aggressor. How do you equate that??? The provocative nature of the abuse I took is not printable on this forum. I react simply by taking the rise out of the aggressor - BUT, there are people who, if spoken to like that may well react in another manner! A young man from Halifax has been arrested for assaulting a police officer. I saw with my own eyes a few fax fans behving in an aggressive and violent manner.
Without arguing over semantics, I will repeat - I know where the greater problem lies. What I just can't process is the denial that some fax fans were guilty of provocation and threatening intimidating behaviour when it happened to me!!
I know we have a real problem. So do the club. All I am asking is that work is unilateral. We ALL need to work on this. If the head is in the bucket "it was them gov", then the problem remains!

Enough is enough now RFF, going round in circles, We have not had any other problems that i know of in any other game of this or last season other than you, That says to me there is a problem with the Fev Vs Fax matches, Simple as that, after what happened to Dave singer some people will clearly have there backs up, there is no problem with Fax and Barrow, Barrow and Leigh, Fax and Leigh, yet there was with Barrow Vs Fev, Leigh Vs Fev and Fax vs Fev. It really is that simple, You carry on with whatever you beleive but if it carries on there will be no club left for you to support as there will be no money coming through the gates and you dont have a bank roller. Either way, i am now past caring what happens to Fev rovers which is a shame as i always wanted a fellow West Yorkshire team to do well.

Rff- the fax lad nicked was released without charge... he did nothing wrong. There is no problem with fax and leigh or fax and fev for that matter.. only with fev and everyone else. So someone was abusive towards you... boo hoo how do you think the rest of the fax fans felt? Get a grip pal your lot are wrong ens. End of!
