Whatever happens, I sincerely hope we don't stage a 'sit-in' like Warrington did in 08', where 200 goggly-eyed dribblers stayed in their seats after the Cas humiliation blubbering 'Cullen out' for a sustained period of time.

Horrible sight.

Thought Scott Taylor had one of his best games in a Rovers shirt yesterday.

Defended pretty well, looked determined with ball in hand and his try took a lot of scoring.

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

I was at that Cas game, it was 28-14 with 10mins left then ended up 28-36 didn't it?!

I've seen that quote loads round here, and it made me chuckle cos that's exactly what I thought it was.

I think they were in the terracing though. I wasn't involved thankfully. It was the best thing to happen to the club in along time.

You'd think Cullen being ousted would just be as painful as wanting Morgan out seeing as how both have had long affliations with the two clubs, Cullen was there for 25 years in total wasn't he? But, I feel you lot getting rid of Cullen was the only option and a much easier one than HKR getting rid of Morgan. Clearly though, it shouldn't be rushed because Wire getting Lowes in as the replacement didn't exactly bring dividends either did it (going 7 games unbeaten or whatever run you went on) just covered the cracks.. and then along came T.Smith. There isn't a lot of talent on the market, surely, Brian Mcclennan would be a cracking coach, apart from running that Exiles team, is he doing anything?

I agree, short term it wasn't great but better long term. Brian Noble would be ideal.

The difference is, Warrington's team was full of international stars and was clearly a lot better on paper than on the pitch, are Hull KR?

I look at Briscoe; Cockayne, Welham, Hall, Colbon; Green, Dobson; Netherton, Hodgson, Vella, Newton, Galea, Taylor.
Replacements: Wheeldon, Murrell, Lovegrove, Watts. vs Hodgson; King, Bridge, Atkins, Williams; Briers, Myler; Morley, M Monaghan, Carvell, Grix, Westwood, Harrison and see a massive gulf in class which was reflected in the scoreline.

True but Wire weren't even that great, they didn't need to be. We were absolutely terrible. I haven't seen us play that badly since we lost to Halifax in 2005 with twenty minutes to go in the second half after conceding, the players were all just stood about behind the goal line in a rabble. No one was talking to each other and the majority looked like they'd rather have been anywhere else but there.

I expected to lose but I also expect the players to look as though they actually give a toss.

Our completion rate must have been somewhere around the forty per cent mark.

Interesting match report by Andy Wilson in The Guardian

"Warrington became the third leaders of the Super League in 48 hours, although even they must have been surprised at the ineptitude of their opposition....

..It was surely no coincidence that Rovers' most obviously hapless performers were Michael Dobson and Ben Galea, who have been key contributors to the success they have enjoyed under Morgan in five seasons in the Super League, but who have also been at the centre of much recent speculation. David Riolo, the Australian agent who represents both players, as well as Morgan and several other Rovers imports, was at the game. However, Morgan dismissed the suggestion that this was anything other than a bad day at the office...
..Yet this defeat leaves Rovers five points behind Hull, their fierce local rivals who occupy the eighth play-off position that the chairman, Neil Hudgell, reiterated in his programme notes would be the bare minimum for an acceptable season. "Anything less for me, I'm afraid, will represent failure, particularly in the context of us investing in a full salary cap," he wrote.

The idea that Rovers could challenge for the play-offs seemed laughable as they fumbled through the first half..

..But the damage to the rapport with the supporters that has been a key factor in the Robins' revival of recent years had already been done. That might be the most worrying aspect of this performance, for both Morgan and Hudgell. The Craven Park fairytale is very definitely over now.

Ouch.
