I agree, it is obvious to me now that we do have a problem and I would like us to tackle it. Fax fans have been quite rightly quick to slag our club off on this forum. They now have a chance to put ideas accross with regards to making them feel welcome again.
Over to you Fax fans, any suggestions would be welcome!

Jt, I've put what I have put due to my experience over many years. I will not go anymore to por. Not out of boycott, because I don't want to get my bald head stowed in. A few Fev fans have come here pleading to make things better, and saying they would welcome us. Thing is, I've not experienced this from Fev fans, only spitting swearing intimidating bullies. It's all a little horse, gate bolted job. The good Fev fans have had their chance. Why would I go put of my way to welcome a set of fans that have done everything to make my own fellow fans unwelcome? This is my opinion, built on years of experience...guess its my problem though, eh?

I've heard numerous fans suggest similar Brichy. I even alluded to it myself a while ago. I think it's a poor do if that's what it's come to - BUT, I really can understand those sentiments, I really can!

Sadly, it might be that segregation is the best option. And, if the changing of ends is still to be allowed, then one set of fans must only go behind the main stand and the other set behind the other stand meaning that they do not interact. That may be a problem with fans in the main stands. A sweep of the lane behind the bottom terrace where fans leave by the stewards/police to prevent any outside antagonists. Better stewarding; I've heard it said from fans of both teams that the current crop of stewards are 'inept' at best. (Not my words.) Club representatives of both teams seen to be interacting and standing with the fans to get a first hand view of it all.

We all hold ALL your fans in low regard, do we? I have to disagree there, fella. But, it is your choice, and you are entitled to it.

The bloke was genuinely trying his best and thats what this thread is about but again gets turned into a slagging match, so why dont we keep to the title and try and think of a way forward. What about a fans tag match before the next game, or even all forum posters meet in a pub for a drink and a chat before the next game, there must be some people with good ideas out there, lets talk about them
Just to clarify I was not a director then, just a very concerned supporter like I am now. I was a Director from December until a couple of weeks ago. Not long I know!
We need to unite as I said on the other thread... I think a tag game is a very good idea. I am certainly up for it.... but let's mix the teams. None of this is about us and them.
I would also just like to point out that the club are trying. I was on the board when we did put in place extra measures for the league game. Widely criticised on here, but applauded by Neil Arbour (sorry if the spelling is wrong).
Also, the other night the Featherstone CEO was in the middle of it all pleading with people to stop, putting his own well being at risk. I beleive he then boarded the Halifax supporters bus to speak to people. Of course this never gets mentioned, but be assured that he will do everything possible to find out and severly punish those who were involved on Thursday night.
Finding proof has always been the problem to routing out the bad eggs. I think we have now reached a watershed. I have seen a change in Featherstone Fans this week and I am sure they will start speaking out and giving names to the club and police.
I wish every Fax fan well, actually they are a team I have a soft spot for, since my first Wembley visit as a young lad in 1988 and being sat amongst the Fax fans. The atmosphere lives with me to this day.
If I make it to the final, I hope to see some of you there, where beleive it or not I will be cheering for a Yorkshire team that plays in Blue and White against them from over the hills who wear red.

If you were to read pinball wizard's quotes you would imagine you were wading into bagdad when you came to featherstone. This trouble is recent and has only been an issue since the grand final.
I know it's bad RFF but I can't be going there when I have been tarred with the same brush as those idiots. It hurts the clubs and the sport, but if they are draining money from my club, then I'm only giving my to the members of the rugby league 'family' who support us. I go to every away match apart from toulose, but I seriously doubt I'll be driving to the shay until things return to normal between the clubs. I'm so angry about the whole event, but I'm even more angry with the venomous 'let's have a dig at fev' bandwagon that's arrived. We should be celebrating a great 2 year rivalry not staying away but I can't in good faith strengthen the coffers of fax while they weaken ours.
Best of it is I don't even live in Fev but i drive in from sheffield to see rovers play.

Fair do's Birchy - I do understand mate! There is a growing number of right minded folk I know who are intending to do exactly the same as yourself re future games at the Shay. Unfortunately mate, it's right folk that are the ones making the decision to stay away - and for exactly the same reason! Sad. Very sad.

TS is right there Birchy, he and many other Halifax fans had got in contact about my family and I's well being.
They have actually helped Featherstone in many ways and I thank then for that.
