I don't see where that isn't the case F4L!
BUT, there were some numpties amongst the Fax lot that were pressing the right buttons when abusing/provoking Fev fans before the game. - I and others were subjected to that!! Like I said previously. the overwhelming problem lies with Fev. YET, I still don't read any condemnation (just excuses) of those who's behaviour was nothing but inciting and those who assaulted a police officer - what would have happened if that Bobby had fallen, banged his head etc etc etc??
We have a massive task at Fev to deal with this - that I know. I know we have morons watching the game and spoiling the job for the majority. But it's a task we all have to address, otherwise, the next Fev v Fax game, the odd Fax fan spouts the provocative hatred I and others faced the whole thing could kick off again!
Thursday night was sickening from a Rovers perspective. Someone posted "Rovers lost in every way". How true. I care not about the result. I was over that by the time I got home. The behaviour of some people in rovers shirts was sickening!
Pencil is a good lad. I can see how even he might think twice about fetching his lad along - same with my Grandson, and these are the very people we want to be attending games!

It's not about "sticking up for me club F4L, though I do acknowledge there is an element in my diatribe that does that. It's more about defending what is right! The behaviour of a few was wholly unacceptable - at any level, regardless of colours, and as such non of us want this sheeite to continue. I Will continue to support the riddance of that cancer from the game.

Robin, as long as my lad wants to go then I will take him. There are several exits out of the ground back to my house and I never feel threatend. It is the fans who have to get to the cars and coaches who have to witness the thuggery I feel sorry for.

A sad time for Rugby League. I honestly fear for it's future in the Championship and below. Do we really think that the SL clubs will let in clubs tarred with the trouble brush? We may tick all the boxes but something like this sticks more in the memory than the result. Do we think a charity tag rugby match will do much to rebuild bridges? I'm in two minds on that, but, it is a step in the right direction.

Well at least it`s a small positive step which is a start , maybe get some ex players involved especialy anyone who played for both clubs eg Martin Pearson.
YOU CAN LEARN FROM THE PAST BUT NOT RELIVE IT.YOU CAN HOPE FOR THE FUTURE BUT CAN NEVER BE SURE THERE WILL BE ONE.

I wasn't at the game. I'm not in the country so haven't seen any highlights or anything about what happened after the game. All I know is what I've read on here. As a Fax fan I can completely understand why our supporters are upset and angry at events that followed what was a great result for us. Especially considering the recent history between our clubs. But from reading the posts Fev supporters are too. They don't want their club to be known more for what goes on off the field instead of on it.
It is ok saying bridges need to be built - gingdong the idea of a tag team match to raise money for Dave is a great one. And it's a start. But the main work needs to be done by the clubs (I am using the plural cos i don't know who started the trouble - if Fax fans were to blame we need to sort that - I have read accusations on here that both sets of fans were responsible).
Until progress can be made then all fans posting on here need to work together to keep RL a family game. Let the police and clubs do the work that needs to be done to identify the trouble makers. Until then can we all just agree that what happened Thursday was once again a terrible end to what i'm sure was a great game (land back in Manchester 10ish Wednesday morning - match to be viewed approx midday as soon as I set foot in the door!). It doesn't matter how many times people say it was Fev's fault or it was Fax's fault - it doesn't change what happened, people keep going round in circles with their posts and it just means the decent fans are sniping at each other - really not what is needed at this time.
Fev fans - unlucky to come out the wrong end of a close result like that again. Hopefully you're all proud of your teams efforts and you can keep going in the league this season. Fax fans - onwards and upwards - blackpool here we come!!!!

I'm still hurting from the result, and the way I felt walking back to my car after the match was like I was in a dream. I was really down, and although I can't think of a single way I would ever grow a punch to any fan, I think both sets of fans need to stop the verbal abuse towards each other. Booze + heart wrenching defeat + opposing fans sticking the verbal boot in leads to a bad situation. This is not an excuse, and I am not laying blame at fax fans at all as both sets of fans had a part to play in this.
I am also considering whether to come to the shay again next season, as animosity between both sets of fans is bad enough, but I'm not gong to put £18 + Into a club whose fans hold ALL fev fans with such low disregard. I've been going to the shay since we were promoted and I always liked the club. I always liked fax after two of your fans stood with me and supported fev at the championship grand final last year, however if fax fans are going to vote with their feet and not bother coming to our ground, then I will choose to do the same.
I am still in shock about what's happened, and although I didn't see it with my own eyes I've watched the video on you tube and it makes me feel sick. I have never seen any trouble until this season.

As i Featherstone Rovers fan for many years i now take my better half and my two daughters 11 and 13 to the games. I would love to see us meet in the playoff and see a crowd off 2500+ watch the game and when it ended all go home and discuss it on the forums. I like many others have no problem with Halifax as a club and the majority of there fans. What does make me annoyed is when i read that fans will not come to support their team because of some people who are out of control at the matches. I then come on here hoping to read that someone has caught these people (i was at the match in the family stand and left at the back so didnt see any trouble) and reported it but instead read comments like
Fax4life It would be best not to go again untill it settles down (Dont let them stop you) jeffvickers It seams all the decent fans sit in the main stand ( Not true) wereutherein Dont go thats my answer ( Dont let them stop you) pinballwizzard I will never put another penny into that shizzlehole of a dump and THEY WONT BE WELCOME TO THE SHAY ( Unbelievable ) jonnyfreemanfanclub Some fax fans that attended to support their team and were attacked by fev fans from behind (cannot comment as i didnt see the incident )
I hope that these people whether FEV or FAX are found and photos put on for all to see then if we see them in the ground we can have them removed.
I would hope that as many Fax fans as possible would come on here or our forum with constructive ideas of what they would want the Featherstone club to do to make them feel safe if we meet again this season. I know the answer is ban the ones that have caused the problem and has been said it looks like they may of been video this time but reading some of these comments i think you will want more to be done to come back to Fev
Pinballwizzard i dont know if you put what you did in anger but i hope you and many others would make my family welcome at the shay the next time we play you

I hadnt seen the you tube film, so because you mentioned it I thought I would have a look. What an absolute waste of time the video was, it showed absolutley nothing and certainly didnt indicate who was at fault, if anyone, in fact it was just a case of the person who put this on has done this just to keep the issue going, someone even posted saying that it showed that Halifax fans are a bunch of to$$ers, what on earth was he watching??
Utter rubbish. People need to make their own minds up about whether they go to Post office road anymore or whether the fev fans will come to the shay.
