The bloke was genuinely trying his best and thats what this thread is about but again gets turned into a slagging match, so why dont we keep to the title and try and think of a way forward. What about a fans tag match before the next game, or even all forum posters meet in a pub for a drink and a chat before the next game, there must be some people with good ideas out there, lets talk about them
Agreed! That would be a start for both sets of fans. I hate the idea of not being able to watch my rugby and i know hundreds of people are likely to feel the same. Either way we have to move forward and i feel that positive dialogue between both sets of fans is very important right now. I, like many Fax fans have felt bitter and angry regarding the issues covered since Warrington and im sure that genuine Fev fans feel the same. We all know that both sets of fans have a few fools and its up to us right now to weed them out and build the bridges again.

No bad thing - cost nowt, getS you loads!! It may not be a your experience of Fev which yes, since the decline of the industry has suffered social decline/deprivation more than most towns, but I am more representitive of fev than what you describe and as such I can't let a sweeping generalization like that go unchallenged.
Mindless louts tend to be much louder than our lot!
I feel sorry for you mate, honest, must be hard trying to keep sticking up for your own club when you have these idiots about. Hopefully they will go away but probably not when we are in town, thats why I think it best we just don't go for a couple of years until it hopefully blows over.

Don`t return till they get their house in order `cos who they going to fight with if clubs stay away ? each other and good luck to them.
Thats true on Look North what do we get first mentioned? Fighting at the game inside and outside the ground, then it went on to say it was a great game and Fax won and are off to Blackpool. Sad, as you say we are tarred now as well.
One thing that sticks in my throat is the lack of respect to Dave Singer, come on Fev fans if this was the other way around I would slam our fans for yet again having a go at opposing fans. That was why i was annoyed some of our lot reacted and fought back but if you get hit it is not easy to stay calm is it, honestly?

Featherstone statement: We have some mobile phone footage which we are reviewing to identify individuals, we also have a number of names of the people who started the trouble. These people are not true supporters of Featherstone Rovers and will therefore be banned.
Halifax statement: Those who instigated and participated in threatening, abusive and violent behaviour when the match was over should not have done so, regardless of the provocation.

Lets use the subject has a way forward. What do we do next about Fev v Fax games? If your response is don't go then what do we as a club need to do before you go again? What can we do to make amends? How can we bring our 2 great clubs together?
Apart from identifying the thugs which both clubs are working on where can we start to build bridges? A tag charity match has been mentioned, which sounds like a good idea (but we are not playing golden point extra time if it is a draw )
There are plenty of threads on here to have a tit fot tat blame game, lets use this one as a way forward.
