Thinking of going to Fighting Cock and Punjab after the Catalans game but very interested in watching the David Haye fight that night. Anyone know a pub around there likely to have the fight on?
Also are there 2 Punjabs on Great Horton Road? Both look to be very good from the praise

Not been to either of the Punjabs on Gt Horton Rd, the Punjab near the Fighting Cock is on Legrams Lane. A good curry house on Gt Horton Rd is the Bharat. Just up the road from the Uni. Go straight on at the traffic lights and it's on the right just past the petrol station.
As for a pub showing the boxing I dunno, but the FC has Sky.

Tried Shalamar on manchester road tonight for the first time in a good few years. It was probably the best curry I have had in a long time, I had the lamb asian style balti and i recommend it highly!

Was recommended and given a menu for Kerala Cafe on Keighley Road near Branch in Shipley. Very different and interesting South Indian food.

Has anyone tried or know of anyone who has been to Thaal in Brighouse? Had mixed reviews on Trip Advisor, don't want to get my pants pulled down when I have a very nice takeaway on my doorstep.
My daughter and boyfriend went and said it was "different", he had a curry described as medium on the menu but it blew his head off. A lot of the specials were flambed at the table his with sambuca. Both said the that the atmosphere was poor with hardly any one in and that they would put up with extra drive time to go to Saffron, Ahkbars, 3 singhs .......

Ok ta, might give it a miss then.. I will only moan if I pay a premium for a plate of overpriced curry. You still getting on with Medina Eddie?
We still go occasionally but when we first found out about it we over did it a bit and so got a bit bored with it. My youngest said that they all tasted the same but i think it was down to the dishes we ordered, maybe its time to give it another go and be a bit more adventurous. The bargees and somosas were always top drawer.
