Be as it may but Mason, board signing or not was a potential gamebreaker if used right and even if Morgan didnt have him on a hit list he surely wouldnt have turned him down.

I'm suggesting that Morgan may have chosen to invest Mason's salary elsewhere if given a free hand. You already had Newton, Galea, Murrell, Cook, Netherton and Watts as backrow options. Perhaps Morgan would have rather used that cash for a top class hooker, or tackle-busting prop.

I asked about this the other week, I remember watching Liam Watts last season he looked the dogs...great potential yet the kid has looked average the games I have seen him in this season...hope the kid gets last seasons form back.

The thing with watts is he's a good mobile prop with a decent offload, pretty much in the mould of a young Vella, we seem to be trying to turn him into a fozzard type hard running head down prop which is what he'll never be. Think this 'transition' has knocked his confidence massively.
