Did anybody read in the HDM print edition, Hudgell's interview recently? Did he expand on his point that'd it'd been a blessing in disguise and why he felt that to be the case?
Yes. Good Old Ma pmh posted it out to Secret Hill Top Lair.
Hudgell had just posted a huge order for Willie Mason Red And White Afro Wigs, £3.99, £8.50 for two for the KC Derby.
Mason refused to grow his hair like he had it back in the day (brap! bro' etc) so Mason was de registered as we all now recall.
The lucky escape was that Hudgell's far east contact, Ken Hom (Hudgell met him at a "Ken Hom's Hot Wok" demonstration on Hammond's at Meadow Hall, Hudgell's a big fan but Ken wouldn't come to Hull) who had put him onto the wig factory hadn't yet placed the order thus saving Rover's several hundred thousand British pounds, roughly 2,529,903.79 HKD.
The rest is history.
