Sorry I disagrre.
This is Morgans team (His players apart from one), It is his 1 man safety first rugby that is SOOO easy to counter, It is him that clearly has favourites that are undroppable and it his his defensice structure that i'snt good enough, Infact I could be wrong but even in 09 when we finished 4th our defense was far from great (Has it ever been top notch in SL?) so the buck stops at him.
As someone else has said he will struggle to find a place to hide as this team is his and no one elses.
My major worry is when stories appear (Taken with a pinch of salt) that the likes of Liam Watts has been told to go away and work on his meter making and to stop offloading (The best part if his game IMHO).
Tells you all you need to know if true.

Tbf, when we finished 4th we had the 4th lowest points against tally.

It's not his team selections that worry me so much. I can see there's a decent argument for Cook ahead of Netherton, for example, but realistically it wouldn't make a dramatic difference. Building pressure through a safety first approach with ball in hand, strong defence and good kick chase was successful but limited. Brown used it as a foundation at Hudds - we seemed content to rely almost solely on doing the basics well. And now we don't very often, so we're plop. :DEPRESSED:

In mitigation... Mason would potentially, if it had worked out, have stiffened up our slightly flaccid pack. Our once excellent back three have to varying degrees lost their mojos. Dobson and Newton have been out for extended spells. It's one bad season - the important thing is that lessons are learned.

'Thus I am tormented by my curiosity and humbled by my ignorance.' from History of an Old Bramin, The New York Mirror (A Weekly Journal Devoted to Literature and the Fine Arts), February 16th 1833.

The buck stops with the coach imo.

That's fair enuf but it's the players that arnt consistent week in week out, one week play good next week play poop is that Morgans fault to, he picked the same team who beat hull the week before so u tell me why it was Morgans fault we got thrashed by Leeds, he can talk to em tell em to stick to game plans if they divert away from that then that's not morgans fault is it.

Really my mind must be going.
I always seem to remeber that we defsivly looked in the wrong place.

I think we've suffered heavily this year due to making a signing based on shirt sales rather than the need of the squad. The one thing we didn;t need was a 2nd rower yet we invested what must have been a large chunk of cap on one.
Was that Morgans fault?

Nah, we were pretty good defensively then, and in 2007. The problem was scoring points in the second half of games.

We certainly had a lot more pride and enthusiasm to bend our backs. The area where this has really gone is our goal line defence. If a team gets in our twenty metre area now, you can pretty much guarantee they'll score.

I can fully see and understand the reasons some fans are calling for Morgan's head. For me the two coaches muted as possible replacements in Kear and Noble are not the people to take us forward. If things are like this, this time next year then yes, he should go and give someone a full build up to September so they can get on with recruitment for 2013. Instead of going for an Australian assistant, how about a young enthusiastic up and coming British coach. Someone like Keiron Purtill at Bradford.

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Frederick Douglas
