No I meant thinking we could attract top aussie coaches if and when Morgan goes.

It's a mark of how far HKR have come under Morgan that a defeat at Headingley is the trigger for calls for his head. It has been a dispiriting season though. Yet to win on another team's ground. 1 win against a team in the top half. Who is our most aggressive or explosively powerful forward (Mason was meant to fill that hole in fairness, I suppose)? Where is the wit and invention in the backs? Not that we had masses before, but we did have cohesion and focus as often as not.
I think Morgan remains the best option going forward - though rumours of him going off elsewhere are no longer such a panic-inducing prospect. He's right that when the going gets tough you have to have faith in your philosophies and approach. Being very inflexible makes a flaw of that virtue though - we need to adapt and evolve. I don't won't to see expansive, exciting rugby for its own sake - If I thought a conservative style would win more games (see 2009), I'd be happy to stick with it. I just can't see anymore what fans of other teams would be concerned by when they look at our teamsheet. We are the blandest thing on the menu.

I have no input to this thread but it's the only one active.

I like him.

Does a good job at the Eagles, but the next step, I hardly think so. In truth there's no one who springs to mind.

Hull KR play off wins = just the one.

Agree.

Matt cook was THE form player and was then dropped or (rotated). Murrell on the other hand only has to make a decent tackle or jump in the air as a teammate forces a knock-on and he's a shoe-in. Remarkable.

Because we are the penrith of the superleague when it comes to decent aussie coaches. Dont want another to be honest but if Kear was a prospect then I wouldnt turn my nose up. Morgan has too much of a cosy team, if certain people are fit they play.
