It wasn't a classic but made up for it in the closeness and intesity. I thought FC's gameplan was to hold the ball and make no mistakes, which to be fair to them was working for much of the match. We coughed up too much ball, FC got field position and really didn't capitalise on it. Once we got a foothold we looked more likely to score and when Long went off Hull looked like a set of headless chickens, completely disorganised and clueless in attack. Great signs of the old comeradery coming back into our game, not seen that all year, hopefully we can gain a bit of momentum off this and push on to the end of the season.

Good to see 6 local local lads in our team, as opposed to 3 in the FC team (surely not, arent we unable to function without a full team on non locals).

The game (while not ever likley to reach the skill levels of a Saints v Wigan derby) was a very good game of passionate rugby, with both sides giving 100%. I was pleased to see the response from Rovers, the passion and commitment they showed was evident in the celebrations for each gain (such as forced knock ons etc).
I though Wheeldon was superb yesterday, along with Cockayne, Green and Galea. For FC Horne was outstanding, he took some really big hits and never once had a moan about them (unlike the 'I can dish it but not take it Luaki').
If I had paid for a ticket at the KC to see the same game, but a reverse result, I would have been disappointed at the end result but happy that I had watched a good, close game of RL with all players giving 100%.
You can't go on our board much then, depsite having a good Easter including beating you many fans still though we where poor and looks like they were right.
I think both teams need quite a few changes to compete with the top 4.

Agree totally, Our defence was great yesterday(as were both teams tbh)It was a good tough game. A lot of Hulls errors were forced through our tackling. We also kept Manu,Briscoe,Yeaman and Gleeson quiet too.

He/She had plenty to say last night on the man lol!!!
Well done lads
'HE' For future reference
I come in peace with egg on face, I have below posted exactly what I posted in response to you on our board!!
Here i am!!!
I'll put my hands up and all credit to the users of the 'sig fodder' i've provided.....
Credit where it's due, Green had a good game on Sunday. If I may be a little critical, I would say that neither HKR halfback really put their stamp on the game until Sean Long went off. Dobson's kicking was poor IMO and Green did kick one out on the full IIRC. I still don't rate him as a player and may well be proved wrong but when he did get into the game on Sunday he was very good. This was highlighted by his break for Briscoe's try.
As I said, credit where it's due and I hold my hands up on this occasion!!
To be honest, it's nothing compared to the replies i got on Facebook for my other 'foot in mouth' comments (Yes, you MrPhilB ).
I shall be adopting my usual pre-derby silence in the future, hurts less that way... I'd say good luck for the rest of the season but I wouldn't mean it!!
