Crucial victory today, it was a season-definer.
We can still harbour top 8 prospects now, with something to go at next week against Leeds.

Big raps to Netherton and Briscoe who sounded like they had massive games, and of course Clint Newton for returning and sounding solid if unspectacular.

Genuine question?

Do you really believe that you played that well today? I've just listened to Morgan on the way home and he's saying he believes it's the best you've played all season. We all have opinions and look at games differently but I thought the game showed that both teams are poor and deserve to be were there are in the table. From an Hull point of view we were terrible, we had so much ball in that 1st half and was absolutely clueless in attack.

I believed we'd win today because I thought our forwards would be too strong for you but I admire the way you play for each other and hang in there and I think you deserved to win. I thought both ur half backs played well and Wheeldon had a very good game constantly taking the ball forward.

No, we played absolutely garbage if that makes you feel better.

It wasn't the best we've played all season but it was a good performance.
If we play like that at Leeds next week I believe we will win.

Fair question.
Morgan proberbly meant best in terms of sticking to the gameplan

I'll tell you what we did do well, we defended the usual suspects very well. Manu, Gleeson, Yeaman and Briscoe had very little of the usual success that they have had against us in the past and that, for me, won us the game.

We played well enough to beat the current 8th best team in Super League. No more, no less. Today hasn't papered over the cracks that are still there for all to see.

Well done on the win. A fair result.

Looks like it could be Hull or Rovers for 8th and a possible late summer trip to Perpignan.
