If Craig had defended as bad a Webster did on Friday, prior to his 'injury', he'd have been dropped this week without question.

Motto of the week -

It is the way of the weak to secretly bleat to those in authority rather than fight their own battles.

Yes that is the puzzling thing.

Webster makes some strong tackles but can still be poor defensively at times like in the Wigan game for the first 2 tries.

Think Jake is always going to be one of those players who is never as good as you think he should be. If Hall plays instead we will gain as much as we lose IMO.

I couldn't hear the robin sing if not for you.

Exactly how has Webster been 'very good'?
Our defence out wide has been nothing short of woeful, He has scored only 4 tries in 12 league games and only created 3, He went missing (Not for the first time) against Wigan before he went of injured.
Now campare that to Welham (Yes I know we are a right to left team).
Defence has been no better (He has missed more though but you have to actually lay a hand on the man to miss him) but he has scored 15 in 15 league games created only 1, He doesn't look like he has been in a car crash everytime he is in any kind of contact though.
Craig Hall has played half as many games as Webster but is only behind him by 1 on both tries scored and created.
Say what you want but Craig Hall has been given the messy end of the stick and Webster will play no matter what.

If you only knew the POWER of the dark side.

Couldn't agree more. IMO it's another reason to let Morgan go, because his blatant favouritism such as this is having a very detrimental affect on the team and consequently results. No room for it in what is supposed to be a professional set-up.

With Hall in the team we won 1 and lost 5 in SL. Without him we are a slightly more acceptable 4 & 5. He's just one member of a team and individual stats may be a fairer way to judge a player, but results are the only important stat. Not saying he shouldn't be given another shot, but tbh if it were my job on the line I'd currently go with Welham and Webster in the centres.

Could you cite some examples of this blatant favouritism? It's just that I'm not seeing it. Why would Morgan pick inferior players when his livelihood is on the line? The only person he'd be punishing is himself - if he is that petty and stupid, then he must be one hell of a coach in other respects!

1. Webster been guaranteed a starting 13 spot as long as he's fit
2. Colbon always playing whenever fit, regardless of performances
3. The likes of Clinton Vella, Newton and Galea been guaranteed places even when out of form

Morgan's livelihood is not on the line IMO - he will never be sacked. What other explanation can there be apart from favouritism for Hall never getting a look in? He's a class act who could greatly help change our horrendous way of playing at the moment. I can't remember the last time it was so Edit-RW boring watching Hull KR play. :FRUSRATED: Webster is just not upto playing full games in SL anymore IMO, Hall I feel is.
