Wow indeed. I'd been following this match from a distance, and turned over after the Reading Swansea game. Fantastic achievement to earn a victory from what looked like a bore-draw this morning.

Good from England, good in that they manufactured a win in a way that the 'Number 1' teams in world cricket have done in the past. How many times have we sat watching an England collapse and you're sat there thinking 'this game was safe 20 mins ago' and Gough was walking out with his helmet looking to big for his head.

I think the signs are good for England, 3 bowlers, against a good team, it wasn't hooping all over the place or anything they just got a sniff and I guess Sri Lanka sensed it and lost their nerve.

A great bowling effort from England and although the batsmen collapsed as it was mainly due to the pressure England created. Unbelieveable!

If that had been Pakistan collapsing so poorly with massive odds against a result either way, the ICC anti-corruption unit would have been all over this game like stink on a camel.
