I think it is a great idea and NH is doing the council a favor by taking it so he might get a real good deal but watch out for the aftercare warranty you could get a cheaper deal at comet.

I think it is a good for the club and will set the north to south stand off a treat.

The Wail wrote:A senior councillor at Hull City Council confirmed the authority was in talks with the Robins.

Councillor Phil Webster, cabinet member for financial management, said: "When we took over control of the council after the elections we were informed that the previous administration had offered to sell the screen to Hull KR.

"We have started talks with the club to see what options might be open.

"One idea is to offer the screen on a lease as part of the new North Stand development where the new Enterprise Hub is going to be based, using it as part of that initiative."

Fancy! Saltshouse Tavern is Councillor Phil Webbo's local, and Sutton Park Golf Club, down Saltshouse Road, made the headlines for all the wrong reasons back in 2008, when the proprietor, Mr Phil Webster, was fined £5000

Salthouse Red has so far shown a far-too-unhealthy interest in all things council related, and unfettered glee at how rosy the future is for Rovers now he's - I mean the Rovers-supporting council are back:
salthouse red wrote:Neil Hudgell, Rob Crossland, Lord John Precott and Assem Allen for starters, its a good mix of wealth and influence and IMO the major reason why HKR, as a club, has progressed so relatively fast both on and off the field. Supportive councillors now voted in to local goverment and things looking to take off. If anyone had listed our progress only half a dozen years they would have quite rightly been certified.

I realise that a couple of Super League clubs have wealthy backers but reckon any club have to go a fair way to matching up.

Unless of course anyone knows different ?

:)

So there only remains for me to say:

 HIYA PHIL!! Welcome back!

(Oh, and I hope you declared those free tickets in the Register of Interests...oh hang on...)

Not sure Chris mentioned East Hull at all. He seemed to be referring only to your scrounging shameless club, to paraphrase him. Another apology due?

Whoa - was there a blip in the time-space continuum, there?
