I forgot you were still winding me up, ah well here I go.....im going outside to kick the dog clean over into next doors garden all because of you Andy, i do hope youre happy with yourself?
When Maurice sold me to Leeds something changed, it just not the same, the passion inside me just wasn’t the same as running out at Central park for my hometown club. We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens. Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before. Shaun Wane 8/10/09

Good. I'm just worried about those 2,000 other people at work who've been winding you up the past 20 years. How many dogs have you been through?

Unfortunately I get my kicks from simple things like women, alcohol and fast cars. However I'm going to add asking questions about the Latics to the list if the spontaneous combustion over the last two pages is anything to go by.

Sorry pal I can believe you're a pissartist and a bloke going through a midlife crisis but I fail to understand any female being interested in a bloke with such a self righteous personality...and I ain't joking!!
Can you stand your Jim Jams at the side of the bed or do you use the curtain??

With you all the way Owdpopularsider. I could take you in the East stand and point out 4 grown men with Everton tatts on their arms and shoulders. 2 with liverpool tatts who went following the scousers all over Europe in the eighties. They claimed when challenged and embarrassed about the sudden change of allegience that the tics are their 2nd team and like to watch prem football at a cheap rate. I went to a few games with a genuine Tics fan a few years ago, i smirked at the anti Rugby songs and the anti Rugby talk on the concourse at half time. FFS talk about obsessed. I was then approached by an ex workmate and his cronies who asked what the feck i was doing in THEIR stadium as i was an eggy. I told him that not long ago he was an eggy as well and had been to Wembley on several occassions, as well as many Wigan RL home games. he denied this in front of his mates stating he was only working on the doors at Central Park and went to Wembley for the craic and a weekend away. Spineless barsteward. Never been to a Latics game since, still good mates with the true Latics supporter who incidently agrees the Johnny come lately brigade are glory hunters but admits the football club needs all the support it can get.
Owdpopularsider wrote:Oh dear Martin youve seem to have completely mis-understood my 'beef'... As Ive said previously I dont really mind the glory hunters as each club has them be that Wigan RL, Tics or any other club. But these extra Wigan RL fans you point out in your posting, have the vast majority of them supported Stains, Wire or Leeds in the past?
You have clearly been outed as a bulsh!tter who likes his own version of facts.
Latics had 8-9000 attending in the early 80s. As the novelty wore off in the 90s, it dwindled down to 1500-2000. So maybe the extra fans you claim supported "other clubs" were actually those who had turned their back on Latics (and football in general). And maybe they take their kids too now.
Same for the rugby. They used to get crap crowds and then people fell in love with the game again.
75-0 Gets you Nothing. 27-0 Gets you a trophy. 18-10 Gets you eternal bragging rights!
