Do you not think you can get a pretty good idea of the fanbase of a club from a workforce of 2k+ bearing in mind the town size? Or do you think Yougov/Mori should use a different system?
Other Wigan RL fans living/working in the town please feel free to add your experiences, just for our old dear friend Leeds/Wigan Andy...awww bless his little cotton socks
Given the way you're getting so worked up about this I've obviously been teaching Fergie a thing or two about mind games. I don't need to have any examples, you're the one making statements up that you can't possibly back-up - I've not said either way, just that you don't have a clue whether what you say is right or wrong.
You've made the ridiculous statement of the vast majority of Latics fans supported someone else, yet can't back it up - because nobody can. Yet you still want to make it based on a few people you know, which means the rest of the people you've worked with over the last 20 years have and therefore the "vast majority" of 12,000 must therefore have supported someone else as well. And you wonder why I know you're talking rubbish.

Now were have I seen Andy post 'youre getting so worked up'? Ah I remember now, its in nearly every argument he gets involved in...see Andy I know you think you should be in the Senate, but you'd be more suited to the House of Lords, so we can all have a kip whilst you try and bore us to death....
Can I have the last say, please, please, please. Why argue about something that doesn't concern you, you claim to not care about and obviously know rag all about? Que another reply along the lines of 'youll give your self a heart attack' 'calm down dear'....get over yourself Andy!!
Catalancs I got drawn in by Martin Buckleys comments on 7, I do apologise. But youre spot on why has this borefest not been locked.
When Maurice sold me to Leeds something changed, it just not the same, the passion inside me just wasn’t the same as running out at Central park for my hometown club. We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens. Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before. Shaun Wane 8/10/09

Who'd have thought me asking one simple question could have led to this?

Im with owdpopularsider on this, I work in a plumbing suppliers and you would not believe the amount of men who claimed to be die hard Liverpool/United Fans that suddenly became Mr Wigan Athletic when they went up. Its the whole attitude that does me, the hatred they have towards not only us, but it seems RL in general, the whole "its a bunch of fatties chasing an egg" and all that garbage they spout when they come into my workplace, I respect a very small percentage that HAVE supported them since the old days, but I have absoulutely no time for the rest of them. Also the shame they bring on the town time and time again, for example I was told on the day of the game at Stoke, hundreds of "latics fans" were jumping around King street, jumping on people's cars and even urinating on cars at the traffic lights. Iv never liked them and there pathetic attitude and yes, I believe the majority of them are the same from what I hear and see both in the workplace and in and around Wigan.
