Unless we get turfed out again come the playoffs, then well done. IL reckons it's better for us anyway doesnt he, with running costs, pitch/stadium upkeep etc.

Lets have it right, if this was the other way round, in fact, in October, can you imagine a "well done Wigan rugby" thread on Cockney Latic?? No. They HATE us, they would have us booted out of the stadium tommorow and the ignorant rubbish that is posted on Cockney Latic and the abuse they give Rugby fans throughout pubs and clubs in the Wigan area is disgusting, they are a pathetic little football club that hate the rugby, let them stay in the prem, they'll be batting relegation every year until they go down, and when they do, they'll never return to the top flight. Open your eyes rugby fans!! and picture it the other way round.

I do have a massaive issue with Whelan (since the play off game with Bradford, good friday game etc) but not for latics and certainly not for the majority of their fans
Go in the Anvil when the rugby is on.......and watch the Latics lot jump up and turn the tele off...happens every week aparently, they hate us with an absoulute passion.

This is a key point.
It's evidently much better for us overall if they stay up.
i wouldnt waste my breath congratulating them! because they wouldnt do it for us! the abuse i got yesterday for pointing out that wigan is a rugby team! rugby was around long before football & will stay around long after its gone! but according to people i spoke to yesterday, rugby is only recognised in yorkshire, lancashire and australia! no one else has ever heard of wigan warriors, the only time youll see a warriors shirt abroad is if a wiganer is on holiday! and the best one of all! we rent their ground and wreck their pitch! so they wont be getting a pat on the back from me anytime soon
I made the mistake of driving through king street last night to pick the Mrs up from work in Springfield and they were all out side singing 'we are staying up' they wouldnt let any cars past for about 10 minutes and kept banging them all. No joke I saw about 3 lads with Man United tattoos on their arms singing as if they were die hard latics fans

they bang on about their average attendance, how its better than ours! cause half the fans just go for something to do! your not honestly telling me a team in the bottom 3 has more fans than a team in the the top 3 of superleague!

bottom 3? or top 3? hmmmm.
Southampton get bigger crowds than us and they're in the 3rd division. Football's a bigger game. Latics get bigger crowds. So what?

One of the reporters put a sly dig in yesterday. He said something along the lines of -"there are about 1,000 Latics fans here today ,which is about the total number of people in Wigan who are interested in football".
